It's always really irked me, but ever since reading The Empyrean Age and is irking me again now as I am re-reading the book; I can never understand why the in-game info window for Caldari Constructions still reads 'Torkebaira Shutsu' instead of 'Tibus Heth'.

A couple of things.... I'm not even sure that Torkebaira is consistently spelt between the two. Although I don't have the book to hand right this second to double-check. I might put in an edit later.

Also, having not read it in a while, I can't remember if Heth survives, although the lore pages on Eve Online site seem to indicate he has. So perhaps he isn't in charge of CC due to either death or moving on to become the de facto leader of the state. But either way, it sure isn't Shutsu as he committed suicide in the book.

It's been wrong in this way since the book was published. Time for a little update perhaps? :)

Mucho thanks.

A lot has happened with Tibus. He was the apex of the Caldari fighting in the battle of Caldari Prime. He also didn't take it lightly when Caldari forces lost the fight. He condemned the lead admiral of the Caldari forces, whom many of us did love within the lore, to ultimately "forced suicide". Then he ordered firing on Caldari citizens that were evacuating post-operation when the Gallente offered them the chance to leave peacefully.

So all the Caldari elite moved against him and he lost the role of being CEO of Caldari Constructions. He is presently considered a terrorist of the State and at large (possibly dead) in recent events. Amongst the community of Caldari pilots, many still miss and love the guy. They consider his crimes paling in comparison to those committed by the Caldari corporate elite, and they still defend the man to this day.

More Character Customization :: Especially compared to what we had in 2003...

There was a campaign to fix a lot of the continuity errors in the game about the same time they stopped the chronicles. This kind of just vanished... along with the chronicles. :/

Heth was ousted from power in the State, and the Caldari Providence Directorate was dissolved, returning power to the Chief Executive Panel.

His whereabouts and status is currently unknown.

Also, we're aware of the inconsistency with the names of a few of the Corporate CEOs in game, it's just a case of us being able to change them when we're able.

Shutsu is indeed dead, and if you check back through the news, Caldari Constructions appointed a new CEO a while back after Heth's removal.
