Fans shocked as virtual holofilm actress exposed as real person !

Fans of an obscure holofilm series expressed their surprise and shock at the revelation that at least one of the actresses in the series is in fact, a real human flesh and blood person, and not a virtual image!

Virtual actors and actresses are a widespread technology, used by many entertainment producers in a multitude of scenarios, including facilitating translation of popular works.

The holofilm series "King Rouvenor's Court", set during the Garoun Empire period of Gallente Prime history, was produced by an Impetus subsidiary, that recently shut down, following strike action by scriptwriters, over an alleged plan by management to hire drone scriptwriters.

Fallout from that dispute included the revelation that Vivarie Odeune, one of the leading actresses on the series, is not a virtual actress, but instead a real person!

Fans expressed their opinions on several message boards, with many confused and upset.

"I thought she was a virtual actress, now I find out she's real ? I'm so confused !" said one fan.

"I used to have all these fun fantasies, when I thought she was a virtual actress, now I feel creepy and ashamed!" said another.

"That means the thing she did with the thing was for real ?" asked another fan.

"Makes you wonder how many other virtual holofilm stars are real, doesn't it?" said another.

Neither Miss Odeune or Impetus were available for comment.

Awww that show was really starting to get good! Such a shame they have to cancel it! Though I am a bit skeptical about these claims that Vivarie is a real person. We use virtual actors because physical perfection is simply impossible to obtain. If this woman does exist, I must meet her in person.

Also, the thing she did with the thing was a rather interesting scene. Perhaps the thing was simply virtual? Or is it real? Wait a second... what If I'm virtual and what I think is virtual is actually real? What if we're all virtual? What if everything is virtual and we are nothing but holoreels for the actual Gallenteans? What if the real people watching us are actual virtual themselves?

It's truly remarkable how a philosophical debate on existentialism can emerge from a tabloid. That's the beauty of Gutter Press.

Alas, it's a shame the show was canceled. Let's face it, nothing that holoprojector studio makes will be able to keep up with their two leading shows, "Gauron Abby" and "Doctor Whom?"

I've found that seeing "perfection" in virtual actresses every day had actually had a strange effect on romance in the Federation, that men are more willing to date less attractive women than those closer to the ideal, and that women had genetic flaws intentionally built in if they were too conventionally beautiful. I suppose when you get to see sculpted, computer-generated perfection all day, every day, it becomes so commonplace that you just want to see a woman whose eyes are just a hair too close together.

Having been to Gallente space, I think they may be right. You see so many women that have inhuman standards of beauty that if a real person actually comes close to that ideal, they simply become part of the landscape.

You're probably right, but the catchphrase to the latter show always did confuse me: "Doctor? To whom may you be referring?". It's really unweildy and cumbersome.

Ah well, I guess I'll be trawling the airwaves to find another show to keep me entertained while mining 'roids.

I hope this doesn't reflect poorly on the actress in question. Although perhaps she could find a real job.

Doctor Whom? is still running?? After all these years?? I still remember watching that in my first few years after my inception.

I love this quote!

"That means the thing she did with the thing was for real ?" asked another fan.

That's not existentialism, that's just bad sentence construction. Even more disturbing that it comes from a Gallentean... you know the kind of folks who like to pride themselves on "saying things like it is..." Being naturally suspicious I suspect the statement is the virtual copy of the actual and is a recreation designed to confuse, not enlighten. It is however, mildly entertaining.

Constantin. Among my many business dealings I invested in holo-suites. Why watch a holo movie when you can experience the hologram in a much more personal setting? You want a lack of perfection?? No problem. We do that. We have a whole 'fetish' line of programs that might interest you!

Amarrians are my best customers and remember, when you tip my holograms they always show gratitude!

Much better than abusing their charges, at the very least.

As much as your service, I'm sure, is quality, I wouldn't think the night would be quality if you started by paying the hologram. It's much more satisfying when you get to start it by buying a bottle of chilled chardonay and waxing lyrical about the surroundings.

Ah, Sorjat, if only holograms could be like real women. Holograms do not have the hopes and dreams, will not share intimate secrets in your confidence, and will not nearly kill you with your own sidearm. We have a long way to go before we can ever create anything as gorgeous as God made women. Not that I'll insult your worksmanship. I am sure yours are the best that are available.

That, and I must say I find the idea of paying for the act with money somewhat abhorrent, even with someone who isn't necessarily real. There's something lost when two souls cannot enjoy each others' company for a moment's respite from cold, empty space.

I must agree with Father Baracca. The very thought of paying for carnal relations, either through the act of prostitution or through these fake encounters, is both abhorrent and an insult to the righteous.

See this only stresses the importance of not pleasuring yourself because the figment of your fantasies may well be a real person you may have to have the most awkward of introductions with.
