Just wondering how many of us old Eve farts are still around playing?

Date of Birth: 2006.11.03 01:49:00

Show your age to these youngings nowadays.

Back in my day.....

We didn't have warp to 0.
We had to set our alarmclocks to change skills, cause we didn't have a skill queue.
DUST bunnies were the things that collected in the back of your monitor.

Depends, havw you been playing that account (not character) actively for the entire 7 years with little or no lapse in subs?

Although the account is six years old. Well ...... I suppose you could be a honorary member in training :) But we can't teach you the secret handshake. Also, if you haven't been active for the entire time there may be a few inside jokes and things you may not be privy to.

... can't remember, much less count, the number of times RL required a "Sabbatical" from EVE since Beta. One war and several seasons on gas rigs, such is life.

Yea what he said! I find it discriminatory to say you had to play straight for 7 years! Not very LGBT friendly

Lol.

I too am a 7 year old toon, however I have taken numerous breaks from EVE.

That said, I remember BoB, t20, he whose name cannot be spoken, T2 BPOs, CCP Tuxford, Burn Jita, boot.ini, the sorely missed warp to 15k (although I do not miss the infinite bookmarks of doom), etc.

And through it all, Caldari ships have been **** in pvp.

No tractor beam... loot could take more time than killing the stuff, flying to cans 60 Km from each other was a nightmare.

Took me 3 weeks to buy my first combat frigate and I lost it on Worlds Collide L1 after being able to survive the 1st encounter with an actual pirate (player) in low sec with only 5% hull left - I still have his Char on my contacts list. Blink

Good times!

DOB 19th Nov 2004. When Rubicon launches I will have been playing for 9 years. Never had a break though sometimes I'd only log in a couple times a week.

In my day....

Copying Insta bookmarks... grrr.
T2 was new and Capitals were just a myth.
Buying (and still owning) the original retail version of Eve.
Watching Xetic and CA slugging it out in Yulai (no one had heard of Jita)

Guess i qualify. Maybe i need to put some grey hair and and a long zz topp beard on this guy, and some cheap sunglasses!!

This was a second account though, may have to fire up my first account and check the main on that one, which was a miner/industrialist that i stopped playing years ago. That toon predates this one by several months, which would put it sometime in the summer of 2004 me thinks.

Guess i be gettin' kinda old........

This Toon was Created on the 23.11.2006 09:38.00 EvE Time

And I have had this Toon for 7 years on the 23.11.2013

And I have been active all the way through the past 7 years with this Toon.

Did not stop playing EvE or had taken any breaks.

CCP you have one dedicated player who has seen the game changed over the years.

Yes I do remember the boot.ini saga but that did not affect me as I waited for CCP to fix it and after the fix I downloaded the fixed patch file.

Well hope the Future of EvE will be more interesting :)

Not continuously subbed though due to RL kicking me repeatedly but my corp has been around for 6 years and 8 months by itself.

Still mining after all these years

If only I could use plex to get all those skill points I missed in those lapses lol
