Heavy water spiking huge: due to fuel pellets only?

I admit, I have not done the math, but heavy water has gone from 22 to 108 in Jita since the new fuel pellets were announce on Sisi.

Is that the only thing driving the price?
I would think that would create a semi-hard cap if true, but these increases seem nuts.

for a regualr large tower it will now always take the same amount of material per hour
according to the dev blog in relation to hs ice
isotopes will go from 1.5 blocks/hr to 1.33 blocks/hr
heavy water will be 3 blocks/hr
liquid ozone will be 6 blocks/hr
it makes sense that heavy water will rise to a higher level as it is possible it will not be considered a by product of ice mining any more

Whoa......are you saying that on Sisi ice no longer contains heavy water.

BTW, I don't believe a damn thing any Goon posts, in reference to the post above yours.

As stated Isotopes consumption by POSses will be somewhat reduced. That means that Isotopes should get a bit cheaper. Since the prices of Ice will not drop by much (people would mine less ice if that happens), it makes sense to expect that the other components will get a bit more expensive. So it's not just heavy water, but lso Liquid ozone has been going up.

Nope, i'm saying that for a large POS based on the dev blog
for 1 day worth of regular ice you'd need 32 blocks for the isotopes but 72 blocks for the heavy water needed.
Heavy water consumption is going up, liquid ozone might not increase much because it is already more profitable to mine dark glitter than the other ice types.

Keep in mind if the new fuel cubes represent less fuel usage or more depends on if you were running a fully armed POS or no.

All that ISK has to chase something, might as well be heavy water.

I heard they'll be moving all trit to 0.0 too, but I think it is just another goon rumour.

Heavy Water will rise to 600 and average out to 400 one month after the cube are activated.

And since small towers went from being 1/3 the cost per month of a large tower to run down to 1/4 the cost of a large tower to run, the HW/LO usage boost is still a net win for them. Just not as big of a win. But small tower owners will end up paying about 10% less per month under the new system. Medium tower owners will pay about 4-5% less per month, if they weren't running a maxed out PG/CPU setup. Large tower owners, will probably break about even.

At least once all the HW speculation bubble (which is completely hype and full of hot air) bursts. Then people will figure out that LO is the real issue.

The main reason you're seeing so much HW action is because the stuff is cheap per unit. Which makes it easy to play the monopoly game with as you're not risking that much capital.

HW = 400 p/u, LO = 600 p/u, Not a problem at all... the real problem is the waffles you should be buying!

Metro - 200-250 ISK/u (a few million units for sale)
Heim - about 1.5M units of HW for sale at 135-200 ISK/u
Sinq - most of the million unit orders are at 280-300
(anyone know Amarr prices?)

Just because someone is bored and is manipulating the price in Jita, doesn't mean the rest of the regions have followed suit yet.
