You're a 'fan' of someone who plays a video game? Really? Wow.

Lots of people in EVE have fans. This is nothing new.
What *is* new is your surprise at this fact.

We are practically our own culture unto ourselves, in this gameworld.
- We have our own celebrities, totally independent of who the real world considers famous.
- We have elected representation that stands before a virtual government and sees to our requests and desires.
- With the advent of the Alliance Tournaments, we have "professional" competitors who we cheer for as they do battle.
- We have virtual religions, some of which are community inside jokes (New Order and Chribbaism are two of the most well known), although some hardcore RP'ers will actually don that personna whilst logged in, and appear to be actually rather devout.
- Even casual players will adopt a small sense of what seems to be nationalist pride towards the "race" they chose (Gallente, for life!)

Now, tell me..... why is it s surprising that characters like The Mittani, Erotica 1, James 315, Chribba, etc, have fans?

He was gonna get outed by goons of his true identity main something, so hes starting to feel the sting of not having several alts protecting him, which explains the CLOSE THE THREAD now crap.

Alternatively this whole thing was just a conspiracy to get people to vote for Mynnna Shocked

Or the rumor mongering thread and all the other incidents, breaking TOS, CCP got tired

Or his jita bots

etc. etc.

Probably the veldnaught itself. It shall light the way. When the end times are near, all the faithful will board it and cyno jump into paradise. Until then... It waits.

There was never any mystery. Erotica is the alt of a (probably soon to be ex if he's not already) Wildly Inappropriate corp member. He came on our forums and essentially doused himself with gasoline and lit himself up. Kept mumbling about the CSM and how he saw nothing wrong with being an incredible creeper. He's presumably, and I only say presumably because his posting is absolutely terrible and almost incoherent, been brought back down to Earth, and possibly even realized that asking people to slather themselves with mayo and send you pics just might not be an ok thing to do.

I was simply hoping they moved all of the "rock chewers (who cares) and the derps who shoot them (seriously who cares)" into the science and industry section where they belong.

No longer should be on the front page of my GD newspaper.

Rofl. Nerds being nerds I suppose. And to think I thought I was nerdy, I see I pale in comparison to some of you guys.

I will agree that there are people who take their video games way too seriously and actually are 'fans' of others who play video games. I just find it simultaneously sad and hilarious.

But doesn't Mynnna have the whole CFC voting block behind him and is thus basically automatically in as long as he doesn't pull a Mittani?
Why would Mynnna need our votes?

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

I find it sad and hilarious that you keep coming back to an MMO forum related to one of the nerdiest games online to restate the fact that you pale in comparison to the other nerds here.

I wouldn't. His antics in his "bonus room" have gotten creepy in a way that even goons find appalling. For that reason, he sure as hell won't be appearing on the official CFC ballot list. Whatever support he can dredge up here is what he'll get.

As I will address in more detail soon, there has been an odd campaign lately to silence our voices. I am not standing down, and I will not let the status quo stand. Together, we can change things and make Eve better for everyone.

Would you please explain for the crowd trying to get someone to rub mayo all over themselves (and send pictures) achieves that? Because, really, I don't see it, and the empty platitudes don't really help.

I don't think this forum is an appropriate place to link my extensive client photograph collection. Perhaps we can arrange to have samples of them posted on some fansite. The player you are referencing had fun, and I'm sure he will come forward to talk about it soon. Many of my bonus round clients, whether they win or lose, have a good time. Many also, even if they lose, tell me later than they have had their eyes opened to the possibilities within the sandbox and thank me for it.

For anyone that wishes me to run a boring, dry campaign, I'm sorry but there will be lots of fun and excitement.

This will be a CSM campaign like no other.

Big smile
Openly and shamelessly admitting you're building a collection of IRL pictures from your "clients" with absolutely no awareness of how creepy that is.

Thanks for making my point, I couldn't have done It better myself.

Oh god, that's just hilarious. Had to share it.

Which one was worse - Erotica collecting these pictures or people depraved enough to submit themselves to them?

My vote goes to Erotica for (allegedly) sending some of the pictures further.

Is it really the fact that he was a creeper and got creepy pictures? All the NEW ORDER stuff seemed pretty counter to Goon culture, because goons don't seem to deny their scams once pulled off, or deny any of their negative/darker aspects, or deny that they take joy in trolling and griefing people. Erotica1 was all about pumping up individual fame, cultivating followers that would proclaim him a paragon of virtue and altruism, claiming to "just be trying to make Eve a better place" which is bullshit to anyone with half a brain, yet Erotica/James/New Order/CODE maintain the charade. I don't think Goons ever claimed to want to make Eve a better place. Again, the whole pictures thing is more like a cherry-on-top of a ****-cupcake rather than the key component of why Goons didn't take to these shenanigans.

As I have never been a Goon, feel free to tell me that I'm completely off base.

It's not depraved. It's desperate.

By the time Erotic 1 started demanding them, these people who allowed their stupidity and greed to get the best of them had lost everything they owned and had to submit to humiliation to try and get it back.

Sociopath is worse than stupid, so I know what I think about this whole thing.
