Jita bots... I feel like a human again on local

FINALY. Someone dealt with those pesky bots. Thanks CCP (it was about time). We can actually TRADE on Jita local again with only few blocks (instead of hundreds of new blocks every day).

Just one question. Is this considered as a bot? Big smile

Your problem is hanging out in hs watching local. Go do something.

Everytime you read this you are required to send 100 million isk directly to me.

What CCP do? I close local when I go to Jita.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

The bots were not banned.
They adapted and have learned how to sound like humans now.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Allowing scambots to accumulate isk then banning them is actually a very effective isk sink, given that the money that they scam is likely in "full circulation".

Instead of bots, the chat is now spammed of peeps saying about the bots not being there in a repetitive fashion.

Bots will always return so enjoy the bliss now. People can beg CCP to hire a police force for channels, but that would be too much to monitor trade local chats.

It won't change. You'll always have a auto-bot or scammer via local or other channels so the problem is solved: use your common sense.

Did you consider that those bans can be automated? You just make statistic like chribba did and auto ban every player who posts (for example) 1000+ same message per day with same interval (or something like that).

Oh by the way. LOL is new most popular message in Jita now :)

I'm tempted to make the pilgrimage to Jita just to experience this,even though my nearest character is 15 or 20 jumps away.

I'm closer to Amarr so I ask this; is this ban in all the major trade hubs or just Jita?

Im sure the scambotters are making new trial accounts as we speak and the Jita airwaves will once again be alive with the sound of scam spam.
