Hello.
Interceptors and Interdictors are getting rebalanced in Rubicon, and vast changes are being made.
Interceptor thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=283145&find=unread
Interdictor thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=286842&find=unread

What do you think the best and most used interceptors and interdictors will be for Rubicon?

New Crow requires nothing but an adept FC, rest is anchor and F1 :>

Taranis and sabre obviously, along with the crow, Ares, and malediction in my opinion. Though I can't speak much for the others.

Crow for solo/small gang interceptor and Stiletto for fleet interceptor. Sabre for interdictor though new Flycatcher sounds pretty good too with double webs.

Thank you for responses. Is it usually the fleet interceptors that get used more in general?
And apart from the ones that used to be good, (Stiletto/Sabre) which of the others do you think will be next best/most used?

Can you explain why Stiletto? Crow's role gets changed into fleet inty.

Initially I said Stilletto because as a fleet inty your job is just to get point and hold it long enough for your gang to get there which most inties can already do. Therefore speed is the priority and the fastest = best because you can catch targets better, however after looking at the inty stats more closely, it's actually the Malediction, it has the same speed as the Stiletto but less mass and better agility, it also gets a resistance bonus and 4 lowslots so I'd retract that statement and give the title to the Malediction actually.

Crow for solo because it can use light missiles to the edge of its extended point range, therefore you can basically kill anything that's slower than you (which is almost everything except other inties) and that can't tank your dps forever (most buffer fits). It's basically a Condor on steroids.

Crow has a better lockrange than the stiletto and malediction and that's a large factor in being a good or a bad fleet interceptor.

The interceptors with missile bonuses have a distinct advantage as they won't have to worry about their weapons being able to track at very high speeds and traversal.

Yah, that were more or less my toughts, but combined with the below mentioned lock range - gosh how I hate short targeting range :>

Likin the looks of this new Heretic. Especially with the launcher changes...

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

That is true and I failed to mention that. Also, the Condor has an extra mid so it can fit a sensor booster which is better than the signal amp that the Malediction is more likely to use. I guess the title is between Crow and Malediction, I'd go for a Malediction for the armor res bonus, better speed and better agility but the Crow is good too.

CCP brought it up a fair bit but it's still less than ideal but definitely more workable.

I believe the Crow will be king with the new changes.

4 midslots - check
Fleet ceptor bonuses - check
Ability to slap other frigs about from 30km - check

Not the claw or crusader.

with his new bonus on LML , the disruption range bonus and the new change to active armor rig drawback the malediction will be a beast with an enormous staying power in solo engagement (for in inty ofc)

Claw because it has the smallest sig radius meaning it's the safest ship to travel around null with, which I think is going to become a popular new role for Interceptors.

You know nothing, Jon Lobsters. Crusader has always been good for those who know how to fly it; now it's even better.
