Is this your default response? Who said anything about eve dying? I said the relationship between the player base, specifically those who are just starting eve and CCP is antagonistic. You have to put in two months of quarters to get to the good content. You get this idea right? Eve is not dying, it has a barrier to entry of two months.

That can be said about any game that require the players to invest time to get somewhere. As far as I know, you have to work your butt off in WoW and every other bloody theme park MMO out there before you can even touch the good stuff and how is that fair if that is the only thing you want to do?

To add insult to injury, the games focus more on what your character is wearing rather than your knowledge and experience as a player which is also really unfair because I learn really fast but I don't have the ridiculous amount of time needed to acquire this or that for my character to even compete.

Have you played Dayz?

I have not. I know what it is though.

Try it out, seriously. let me know what you think.

It's fun but very buggy, try out 7 days to die.

I realize for some of you English may be a second language so let me repeat what I actually said.

I said that CCP has an antagonistic relationship with the user base. I also said it lacks content.
I never said eve is a bad game ok? Do you get the difference? I like eve, I play eve but I don't have to like everything CCP does you dumb twit.

Well, being someone with English as a second language. I know the difference between US and us, so why don't you?

When you say that EVE lacks content. What exactly are we talking about? Unicorns in space? Cow level? Zapp Brannigan?

You would have to be pretty ******* insane to absolutely love everything that CCP or any other company is doing, same can be said about organizations, elected individuals and so forth.

Cause we are like #17 in education mmmkay? MURICA!

Yes thanks for acknowledging my point. What is your point?

Well, at least you spelled it correctly.

My point? None, but my reason would be to bring your stupidity into light.

Then what is the purpose of this thread if you haven't got a clue what EVE needs?

Eve needs content.

Was that not clear enough?

It needs planets we can walk on, like Dust. It needs stations we can interact with others in, like a bar and cantina, exotic dancer nullsec stations, amarrian zoo, museum of eve, caldari ship foundry manufacturing station, where you can watch ships being constructed. just a few ideas to make it more like a real space place.

Watch a minmatar right of passage ceremony. Gladiatorial arena in Gallente station.... etc etc

Why would you ever want EVE to be like Second Life?

what like sell limited time ship again and again at stupid prices, while telling people they will only have the chance to buy them once?

or maybe their free to play model?

how about the optional pvp?

maybe the avatar game play, as incarna went so well

yeh that would go down well with this community.....

If it wasn't for the goons what would those players be doing? I'm sure all new players get to join goons as soon as they log in em I right?

Walking in stations is not content. If I wanted an avatar chat room, I would go to an avatar chat room.

EVE is about spaceships and spaceship accessories. Stations are a spaceship accessory. You make money building spaceships, trading spaceship stuff on the market, and moving stuff around in spaceships. You fight in spaceships. Etc.

Everything is about spaceships.

You chat about spaceships.

Having a cantina to hang out in would ruin EVE, because it would become a chatroom that also had spaceships, OR it wouldn't be worth the dev time to make it. I can't even go to CQ because it slows down my system to a crawl. It's crummy.

I think they should focus on spaceships, or revamp the whole thing and have ground missions too where you actually have to do things. Half-assed chat rooms are not the answer.

The importance of "knowing one knows nothing" has nothing to do with actual knowledge,
but with the ability to self reflect.

Congratulations, you've learned something important today.

I might add that people who can't properly express themselves will always be doomed to fail.

Not only do you have - at best - only partly an idea what "content" is,
you ask for content, when all you want is "a life",
or to be more precise: friends.

What you want isn't content.
There's tons of content out there in EvE and it actually fits the definition.

You say you want "content", but that's bull.

What you want is a social environment you can escape into,
to enjoy your time with all the friends you don't actually have in real life.

No it's about being on the forums instead of playing eve due to lack of content.

If this game was about creating content they would have given us content creation and management tools. They would have given us flowcharting and project management, modeling, financial and conceptional, story boards and templates. Instead what they've given us is stuff like the corp interface that because of its security holes presents an Ultra narrow configuration of projects (corporations) and skill tree managemnet. Instead not only do we have to create our own content, we have to create our own tools to make the tools to make the content.

Half-assed CMS if you ask me. Like HTML without CSS and javascrpt gets you banned.
