So back on topic, here's how to make suicide ganking much more difficult:

An alt in a Rapier with a bunch of Webs.

It takes 15+ people to gank a Freighter, it only takes 1 extra person to defend it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

You already have an omnipotent, omniscient fleet of insta-warping, uber E-waring, titan alphaing space cops that will come rescue you if you take even the slightest amount of anti-ganking caution. You also have cannons on every station and gate.

Gankers don't get insurance on their CONCORDed ships anymore (something carebears begged and pleaded for).

And the sec status hits are significant enough that you can only do a few before you need to do some good deeds to not get banished to lowsec. And shooting pods is a horrendous sec hit for just ONE pod.

What more do you want? Because the next step is to simply turn everyone's guns off once they enter highsec.

Or any of the various logistics ships.

As for the suggestion of fitting ships properly, I'll consider that should I ever decide to buy a freighter :P

Good to know you'll still be in gank worthy fits for missions and mining.

I hope gank squads are adding you to their watchlists and checking with locator agents. Roll

Like I said, I have run ganks myself and for the record I don't mission, mine or rat the blue donut but hey, whatevers good for you.

Well look at that. People still think the blue doughnut is a real thing

Why do you think it doesn't exist?

I can prove that it does.

Pathetic? I hardly find it pathetic that someone wants to post a thread on improving the criminal system of New Eden, even if I disliked the original idea I still wouldnt call it pathetic. Strange how people use these forums to flame other peoples ideas and feed their ego's.

No, I do feel a Good, in depth criminal system would indeed make any MMO a much more entertaining source of gameplay.

Especially if such a system made smuggling (as in not getting arbitrarily caught by customs no matter what) and the illicit use of boosters inside high sec a reality. That itself would be very cool.

Plenty of people use boosters in high sec. They just eat them before undocking.

A better smuggling design would probably be better (tautologically so, even), but for now an alt whose wallet you don't care about in a frigate works fine.
