I've pulled hundreds of missions at this point and don't mind pulling a hundred more for my isk needs. However I won't complain about the missions hell I even enjoy reading the little info the stories have but for the storyline of the EVE Universe I would love to see an actual alien ship we capsuleers could fight. Right now rogue drones are the closest thing to this and for how large of an area New Eden covers surely we should have run into a warp capable alien species by now. Aliens = new variety in game. CCP wouldn't even have to make their ships playable just there to shoot at and at something new and interesting.

I'm not even sure where to start with this.. other than "No, EVE doesn't need aliens and please never suggest such a cliché thing again."

Sansha Kuvakai's ship looks rather alien. You should try incursions (in lowsec) then suddenly an enemy fleet jumps in and it becomes a PvP situation!

No, the Jovians are humans who didn't lose all thier tech like the empires all did. They're at at least Terran level.

They've also messed with thier own genetics too much, and made a mess of things.

There are no aliens in EVE lore. We don't need to start bringing in really generic things like that.

An alien is something that is foreign to you.

Ex: To an Amarrian all Minmatar, Caldari, and Gallente are aliens.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

there's no scope for it from a lore aspect

irc a large chunk of the milky has been explored/colonised .... humanity is alone there
humans move through the eve gate and meet no aliens, then bad stuff happens, time passes and 'poof' you have the current eve-cluster

ps
the eve-cluster is alien free

rogue drones are human created robots that have gained free will
sleepers are much of the same, just from earlier an (failed?) civilisation cycle

Space whales.

Also sleepers are kind of aliens to me, you just don't find them in the average mission.

ok so no alien yet.

but with all the life bearing planets eve has. There u already have alien life before terraforming also not sapient life.

I rly have to read my lore, but we have 5000 Systems connected, the milky way has billions of suns so how can it be so few settled systems when so much is explored. Given intelligent life should be seldom, and space travelling life even rarer but i see no problem with finding it should ccp decide to raise the system count to1000000 systems and more :P

no aliens for one reason... from a lore stand point they can easily add some kind of alien race by saying that through heroic ventures by some bla bla bla corporation into unknown space they encountered an alien race with tech rivaling our own bla bla bla.
From a design stand point it will take serious developing time to add such a thing cause you will have to add a new set of everything that's existing in game like weapons shields armor navigation not to mention a new line of ships and new skills to train, all of them to be balanced to what we all ready have in game.

The reason is that will take lots of dev time that can be put to other areas of eve that needs it

i would rather have some Rats that fly carriers, dreads and stuff like that with some high bounties(raging from lets say 25 mils up to 60 mils) and the need of some serious fire power to take one down. With the spawn mechanics like the commander rats and that will drop normal loot but in higher numbers maybe some faction but not sure about that.

I can see a place for this in terms of an alien race that use gorilla type warfare to hit and run systems in null sec a similair way to how roaming fleets work.

Lets be honest the majority of eve null sec is empty - I could see an alien roaming fleet spicing it up a bit. Alien Roaming fleet sets up gate camps and holds systems to seige forcing the occupants to defend. I like the idea in that direction.

Gorilla Type Warfare:

Beating your (possibly bare) chest, shouting challenges at your oponent and whacking stuff around.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.
