EVE Online has been localized for four different languages: English, German, Russian and Japanese. The Chinese players then connect to their own server, Serenity, which is all in Chinese. However, that is not to say that these five languages are the only languages of the wonderful community that plays EVE Online. That fact is reflected in the numerous Fansites that are in languages other than English.

For instance, we have over 2000 players connecting to Tranquility from South Korea. There are no real borders in EVE Online, and the same applies for its community. http://www.eve-kor.com/ is a site that has been a registered Fansite since 2007 and is a major hub for the South Korean players of EVE Online. On the site you can find forums to discuss life in New Eden, guides in Korean for those taking their first steps in EVE Online as well as for veterans that want to brush up on their skills, fan art and fiction, screenshots, and databases of both ships and items.

You can find players of varying nationalities playing EVE Online, and it is more than likely there are community-made Fansites that spring up around each of them. After all, birds of a feather flock together. Make sure to point EVE-Kor out to any pilots that you know speak Korean in case they haven’t heard of it; they are seriously missing out.

There are many more Fansites that might hold exactly what you need to assist you in EVE Online or list the information you never knew you were missing. Take a look; it is almost guaranteed you will find something to your liking. Alternatively, check out the last Fansite that was featured in this thread. The featured Fansite is picked at random every two weeks to showcase the important, community driven work these content creators bring to EVE Online.

I'll look at it later, I guess.

When Bon Scott died and he appeared before St. Peter at the gates of Heaven, St. Peter looked at his record and told him he couldn't get in. Just then, God screams at Peter, "Let him in, Karen Carpenter is driving me nuts. I want to hear some music with balls. We'll haggle over the paperwork later." At least I hope that's what happened.

I'm Korean. Once I was a fan of that site. Maybe 3 years ago ?

But now, that site is almost dead or dying. Too little users.

Well, as a history museum, that site works nice Big smile

Thanks to EVE-KOR, we can find more Korean EVE players than before, on DCinside, Ruliweb, Ilbe, Clien, or other Korean community websites, but EVE-KOR itself. It's nearly dead.

There're two major reasons:
1. The hub for Korean pilots has been moved to other forums such as DCinside EVE Online Gallery. Because the number of players increased, and the in-game politics filled the fansite with the propaganda hurting each other.
2. Moonrabbit, the in-game corp operating EVE-KOR isn't active.

EVE-KOR once was a pretty nice website with fresh new tips, but not now. It just remains like a legacy.

Well, I doubt CCP Gargant would present a dead web site without first reviewing it, right CCP Gargant?

Should I see Koreans fighting each other again?
You may know that, the Blueyey Jr. incident, the fall of Vhysus Inc., the friction with Evegall (aka National Quality Breaker), and some "political" problems with Evegall, THA, TNCG, DSIM, and the "입갤" in-game chat channel have torn the Korean community into pieces.
THAT dirty factionalism finally made several real-world lawsuits. People are like oil and water. Then do you just want Korean players to flock to the poorly-managed website, and to watch people throwing filth to each other? No way.

You know CCP Gargant at the site and said to himself it is in Korean, too much work to translate it enuff to read it and just rolled with the site anyways when it was "picked at random". IMO he felt he had to pick a site that Eastern Asian but wasn't Chinese because they most likely can't read the normal forums or Japanese (because he needed to pick outside of the 4 major languages),

There was 100 holes in the wall, I randomly picked one to put my hand into.

Guess what! There was a dead mouse inside, but that was not the worst part as the snake just came fast as hell and...

Now, on the serious side, I'm pretty sure there is a lot of active blogs, sites, channels etc etc on the web talking about EVE, lets just make sure we pick the right one.

Better luck on the next "lottery".
