Your point is fair but ship spinning is a pretty integral part of eve. Remember the outrage when they tried to take it out?

Right now, all that is SC is just some shiny pictures and a lot of pre-sales of ingame stuff in a game that hasn't even been released yet.

To me, the whole SC crowdfunding thing looks far more like some kind of Ponzi scheme than anything else...

Does railgun ammunition come in Hollow Point?

Rejoice! Star Citizen has no content either, you don't have to worry about that game at all. After all it's just a ponzi scheme anyway.

Anyways, the problem with CCP isn't that they aren't creating content. It's that they are creating content for a select few favorites.

Eve is so lacking in content that people actually followed you into nullsec! Says something at least to me about the game. People are bored and they will follow you into the void just to have a little fun. Nullsec is bored, highsec is bored. Why not serve them up on a platter to one another and see what happens? Yeah good call, rob Peter to pay Paul.

Still if you need to extract money from the player base, why not take a look at how some other people are doing it. Star Citizen just passed the 27 million mark. Maybe you can learn something from them and not troll the very people who pay to play a 10 year old game.

Clock is ticking and legacy software has a tendency to collect dust.


What I find amazing is that people like this try to use the ominous specter of an upcoming game as leverage against CCP to get them to change an already successful game into something that is likely to fail like most MMOs do. It's pitiful and dishonest. If SC is gonna be so awesome, why do you people care? Why not just go play SC when it's out and leave us to our dying game lol.


So many games were supposed to kill EVE, and EVE is still here. You'd think that would teach people something, but it never does.

SC: a 27 million dollar CQ with a a door that doesn't open, and no undock button.

Game is vaporware until they actually produce something worth playing, and not a moment before that. Until the full persistant mode universe is unveiled and we can log into it, comparisons to EVE online are pretty much pointless.

I do agree that CCP has trolled the players before looking at past history T20 etc.. and looking at the most recent events, it appears clear that they plan to continue this practice.

up to the point that there are enough people united
to blackmail them or something.
