I guess my own definition of piracy would involve more of things like catching a hauler and ransoming... or forcing them to eject and taking their ship or whatnot.

Although I do agree that your SEC status has nothing to do with it.

Why would you want to role play a space pirate? If by "pirate" you mean "PVP," then pretty much every corporation in the game (aside from a few explicitly labeled mining corps) are "pirate corps," and are recruiting.

I RP as a Space Pirate cause then I get yer Mother to dress up as the drunken wench and do unspeakable acts to my "Parrot".

Funny that the ideas and motives behind Piracy are lost on you. Oddly enough we've just accepted an ex CFC member into our fold on a trial basis. Lets see.... What did he say? Oh right recruitment post! Ahem....

"Basically my whole EvE career has been with the CFC. In the CFC you have nothing but giant **** fests that are extremely painful to be in. So when you are in an entity that large and fighting in battles that mean absolutely nothing to the individual player, your eyes start to look elsewhere. My eyes fell on Shadow Cartel and I was and still am envious of the small and medium scale PvP that you get to partake in. That is what EvE is about to me."

Straight from one of your own. As for Piracy groups who are recruiting yes Shadow Cartel is recruiting in USTZ and AUTZ.

There are other awesome groups of Pirates in Low Sec besides us. SNUFF, Balex, Tuskers just to name a few prominent entities. But thank you for the compliment!

They are recruiting self sufficient pilots that have vouches and a lucky few who don't.

What the goon meant was we don't have enough space diplo's.
Need moar diplomacy. Less RP.
So if we absolutely must fight, lets make sure we bring the largest amount of blues we can muster, and completely crash the node. This is how PVP'ers PVP mkay.

I think the united has always been a very competent pirate corp; and efficient at doing what we do and making money from our victims with a side of tears.

we're in Scum at the moment, and I don't feel incompetent, my dear tundragon friend.
Actually, I find that some of them are rather friendly to players just dipping into piracy and certain aspects of the game. Certainly more friendly than we are used to.

to the OP: If you're looking for corps, you may find shadow cartel to be worthwhile.

But you feel free to drop me a line or anyone else from Scum if you so desire. :)
