Never ever go into scram range with a daredevil => Change scram for long point and change meta4- for faction web.
Imho it does not make much sense to fit rep if you have such low resis. I prefer a plate.

Wut.

Scram range DDs can be fine, and the AAR is plenty tank.

AB/Point/Web is the way to go, that lets you hang out in long point range until you feel comfortable burning in.

Don't use anti-exp pump on the DD. You kill unnecessary speed. What you really need is an ionic field rig which will increase your lock range which allows you to counter web a target moving at you quickly from far away easier as well as you won't lost point when kiting out in heated point range or with links.

I must say that I really don't like MWD rail devils because you don't have enough cap to run the MWD effectively with the rep. If you're going to use a rep fit an a-type AB and then you go almost 2.2km/s with heat and just a zor's as well as gain a huge sig tank that lets you kill most non-drone/RLML cruisers and BCs including cynabals, vagas, and SFIs. If you're willing to spend a bit more money use a centii a-type repper. You lose only 21 hp repped per cycle (156 vs 135), but are not confined to 8 charges which makes a huge difference in prolonged engagements.

On one of my other toons, I have over 300 kills in a DD. I NEVER use rails though, I always use blasters, get close, cripple them with your web and a scram and they are done. Great ship to kill most frigates, some destroyers. Watch out for AF now though, and Sabres and I'd say most Interdictors after the patch.

Anymore DDs are only really good in small to mediun gangs with armor reppers. Solo it isn't what it was, but hopefully after the next patch that is suppose to deal with faction ships it will be good again. AF are the kings of frigates, I have over 100 kills in a Harpy, 90 in Hawk, and 50 plus between the rest, AF are mean, and if flown right you don't have to worry about any frigates, destroyers, and some cruisers even.
