I think the reason people asked for Ani to see if he could work for CCP was so that we didn't lose the stream now that he has a new job.

Sure CCP could do the same thing, but they haven't. And it is a good marketing tool for people to show others who ask what Eve is all about.

Also once he is onboard with CCP, he may be able to refine his stream with some of the assets that CCP has at their disposal. Also maybe he could give CCP a heads up as to where the fights are going to be so they can reinforce the nodes. Currently the whole waiting for people to tell them isnt working so great.

Enjoyable thread honestly to see everyone's thoughts and Mad Ani's attempt to use his fan club to get him a job with CCP. I have used his stream for free intel in the past and present until he rage took it offline. Honestly Ani I thought that you understood the concept that this was a MMO but I see that you have made this about your needs and not the player base at large. I would have thought that you would have "hired" or found partners that wanted to do this with you and have a shift based system in place seeing how everyone has to have a job to support themselves with. I hope that someone some where will pick up the torch and perhaps put something like this in place.

Mad Ani talks more about himself than about what is going on in his stream. It's so bad that I watched DBRB's stream of the the latest Live Event. Think about it, I'd rather watch and listen to Boat than Mad Ani.

Ani you've gone about this the wrong way. Ignoring the fact that you are a mouthbreathing ****** for the moment, past successful CCP applicants have proven that selling titpix for amazon wishlist donations is a more effective route to a stable icelandic job than begging for donations on stream.

Perhaps you could release some video's of you pouting with titles containing the words 'outrageous, ohmy and many !!!!!!!'s'.

This is what it is like to watch Mad_Ani's stream

Load the stream, spam ******* everywhere with an annoying bobbing cat and ****** electro trance playing in the background. The chat is moderated so hard that baby jesus would get banned from the chat section.... can't even ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ Raise Ur Dongersヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ.

Eyes are finally drawn to Mad_Ani's webcam and you'll notice he's wearing a ******* fedora. If you were dumb enough not to have muted the sound already, you'll hear him ***** at people asking for things in the chat like D-Scans. Additionally, not a minute will go by when he doesn't beg for money.

He might talk about the game for a few seconds, but he generally will be clueless/not care about what is going on. When a CCP dude comes on he gives this grand introduction like anyone actually gives a **** and asks everyone to not ask them any questions in chat... probably fluffing some **** in anticipation of making this thread.

Lets not forget that stupid trollface he puts up thinking he is funny or something, when all he is doing is trying to get more 12 year olds to play eve.

Mad Ani 24/7 live stream www.twitch.tv/mad_ani

Purpose: Neutral EVE news correspondent capturing the largest fights. Showing the veterans, the noobs, the high sec carebears and people outside of EVE, what happens when large power blocks decide to go on all out war. Teaching others what to expect in their future endeavors.

Started streaming: 17th January 2013

Amount of known EVE subscribers: 500+ (using buddy & CCP affiliate program)

The reason for creating this post here is due to the fact that I start full time employment now. This means we will miss a lot of the large fights (unless you're taking part of course). There will be no neutral point of view, no amazing camera angles, cinematic views and a laid back approach to showing the world about PVP on these large scales. A lot of my viewers have said throughout this year that I should contact CCP about hiring me. In my mind if CCP see this as a great publicity avenue, then they would approach me. Lately it has become a lot more vocal from my viewers, this needs to continue. Before I contact anybody, I was told to create this so-called petition.

Stream stats:

• 2,756,215 visitors since 17th January
• 8125 Twitch followers
• 24/7 Music
• 8365 concurrent viewers (NEW RECORD)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is massive for an EVE stream

Who would like me to continue this full time as CCP Mad Ani?

CCP, if you want to know why you should not hire this man, log out of your twitch account and spend some time watching. You will quickly notice that he acts differently when theres a CCP member present. I believe this will be a total PR disaster for CCP and Eve to have this person officially represent you and this game. I do not believe that he will be capable of acting in a mature or professional manner, if he was capable of that he would have done that BEFORE asking for a job at CCP.

If you need other reasons, you can read the concerns of the other one hundred plus posters in this thread.

(If people are being too subtle the reason he so violently refuses to explain what is happening is because he can't)

I feel pretty bad for the people that subscribe to Mad Ani's stream. I have watched it quite a few times and during the big fights he doesn't do that good of a job explaining it and then he gets mad at the viewers when someone who obviously doesn't play the game joins the stream and asks whats going on he responds to them "Ive said it enough already go watch the recording if you want to know, I am not repeating it again." Streaming is 100% about the viewers if you are too big of a douche to cater to the viewers then you are a terrible streamer.

That being said he does put a lot of effort in keeping the stream running and covering the fights and I applaud him for that effort streaming eve is not easy people constantly tracking you down because its impossible to hide everything on the UI that tells your position. If Mad Ani could learn more about the tactics, gameplay, mindset of the fcs and be more accommodating to the viewers I would love to see him work at CCP in a Community Representative position where his main role is to stream the big fights and explain whats going on and potentially have an evetv type deal where post fight he invites FCs onto the stream via skype etc and have them explain what went right/wrong in their point of view and what they feel they could have done better.

Agreed. If you want to get paid stop half assing it. Announce what's going on, why it's happening, the doctrine or tactics involved, and interviews afterwards. It needs to be like sports broadcasting type informative. Your stream is not worthy of my money because you provide minimal content. If you do get hired your stream better cover a heck of a lot more and waaaay more informative. Balance between explaining to complete noobs and high level players also needs to happen.

lol. no.

1) Beg for a PC fund keeps casually growing then seems to stall just before it's 3rd or 4th target for a few days
2) Ask in channel if stream revenue goes towards new PC fund = removed and banned from channel
3) Slide show of an undock with rude / no commentary is not interesting.
4) Now he has a new PC paid for by the White Knights of the Round Table of Ani he finds new excuses why he can't get good footage
5) Unlicenced music
*Snip* Please refrain from discussing RMT. ISD Ezwal

If you want a job, send a CV to a recruiter or something. Starting a petition just screams for attention, it's embarrassing.

Also: Claimed 24/7 stream is offline.

He doesn't do that, because he doesn't know how- He will repeat the same few lines about being experienced in EVE (lol- "I used to FC largish fleets of subcaps, and occasionally caps") but when there is fighting going on, all he apparently feels the need to mention are bombing runs (no matter how insignificant, because they are 'pretty) and doomsdays; outside of that he just zooms into random swarms of ships and identifies them for the viewer.

He does indeed get irritated and even visibly upset to the point that he completely ignores the stream chat when people ask him what's going on, or for D-scans of each 'side' (which he also is completely terrible at figuring out) and all I can really see that sets him apart from other streamers is that:

-He doesn't actually do anything in game, and is even moved by GMs on location.

-He has a seemingly interesting mix of electronica that is probably a youtube playlist (with random publord favorites that get aired more than other songs, loldarude).

-Has a small army of channel mods that will ban you at your first notion of differing opinion.

I think every reason that Mad Ani shouldn't be allowed to work for CCP has been listed. A recap though:
1. Begs for IRL money to fund his new PC since he can't get good recordings.
*Snip* Please refrain from discussing RMT. ISD Ezwal
3. Cries more that he can't get good recordings even though new PC, new excuses.
4. Gets criticism cries about it and rage shuts off stream. (Doesn't sounds like good thing for CCP rep).
5. Doesn't know what's going on about 95% of the time, he just knows that people are shooting each other, and his lack of intel providing to his viewers is sad.. (DBRB does better than that).
6. He gets mad at viewers that aren't vets of eve, and are fairly new / never played before, and when they ask a simple question in Twitch chat, he yells at them to rewatch the recordings, since he hates repeating himself.
7. He's just a general ******* to a lot of people that don't jump on his bandwagon he has set up.
--

A lot of viewers might remember that Mad Ani used to be sponsored by EveNews24 (Noh8 pls on us at en24, go hate on our articles if you want, don't derail this topic), he then claims that we had not supplied him with any viewers, and he did all the work himself. Before people started streaming like he did, you either went to TMC or EN24 for news about big things in eve since they were around, and they the easiest way to get intel. We pulled the number of redirects from EN24's embed'd stream for him one day. Forget the exact number (I'll ask and update this post when I find them), but they accounted for about 75-80% of all his views when he started to get big and thinking he was "The ****" when it came to eve.

So, my prediction is that, once he gets hired by CCP (PLEASE DONT DO IT), he'll gain a lot more success, then demand more from them, and when they refuse, he'll quit CCP and complain that all they did was mistreat him / other bullshit excuses so he has a reason to attention whore more for more money.

So overall, hiring Mad Ani, would be the equivalent of electing Osama Bin Laden as the president of the United States. It could happen, but doing so would be the stupidest thing you could do period. You'd ruin the rep for CCP, and once Ani gets mad at you guys, his bandwagon of misinformed viewers that think he's a god of Journalism, will start complaining to CCP with him, and well, that'll just end in a lot of headaches and PR issues in the end of it all.

I'm sure you could get Kil2 or Fozzie to stream things like this, since they both are a lot more versed on EVE, and frankly aren't as annoying and are good with people. Plus, from the few times I've talked to Kil2, and from his videos (which aren't "bad" but not the best since he's only human), HE KNOWS HOW TO EXPLAIN THINGS. And, since you hired Kil2, you must already know he actually cares about this game more so than the money he gets paid for working for you guys. I don't think he'd have issues taking the time to do streaming for you guys, and to be honest, it'd be a lot more professional than what Mad Ani does... Oh, and he doesn't play unlicensed music like Ani does, because then CCP could be sued big time for Copyright Infringment.

So, have fun making your decision on hiring Ani or not. It's not going to be worth it, and it'll screw you guys over in the end a lot more than his bandwagon of viewers want you to think.

Oh, and one more thing. I'm fairly certain a lot of people would rather watch Kil2's face on a facecam (that is pointless), more so than Ani's...
