Fingerpointing after Syndicate Incident reignites argument over Colelie!

The recent Syndicate Incident, where a combined Federation and Minmatar fleet, operating as part of a CONCORD effort against the Serpentis Corporation's secret experimental laboratory in 8V-SJJ, has created a lot of political fallout, regarding the handling of the operation !

Despite the heroic efforts of the Federation Navy commander, Auvier Bauvon , who single-handedly led a daring charge on the Serpentis Laboratory of Horrors, the Serpentis were able to evacuate the facility, securing most of their twisted research !

Admiral Bauvon is not without critics, some claiming that his daring attack "Simply alerted and annoyed the Serpentis Fleet" !

Meanwhile, other critics have pointed out that General Heder Elislar, of the Republic Fleet, was "staggeringly incompetent", and alleged that he "bubbled the support fleet and warped off". Some go as far to claim that this act was "deliberate and premeditated revenge for Colelie" !

The critics claim that Heder Elislar deliberately sabotaged the Federation led assault, in order to tip the scale of the Federation/Serpentis balance of power, as an act of vengeance, following the Federation Navy's defeat of Republic Fleet elements at the battle of Colelie !

Other critics instead point the finger of blame at CONCORD, who, for reasons unknown and possibly unfathomable, alerted the entire Syndicate region to the impending raid, losing the element of surprise completely !

No Federation Navy or Republic Fleet spokespersons were willing to say anything at this time.

A Serpentis spokeswoman had this to say: "Ahahhheehehehhheeehehehehaaahhe".

A good point you're making, ms. Raker.

It's already wide established that incompetence was the cause of CONCORD and Federal/Republic attempted incursion in Intaki Syndicate, but one thing we haven't seen is a lot of finger pointing.

I'm surprised to see capsuleers take all the matters about these events so... stoically, as if DED, Navy and the Fleet are some kind of a demiurge that now and then makes mistakes and there's nothing one can do about it... So, without the honorary mention of the Republic Fleet's brief familiarization with Warp Disruption Field technology, whose fault actually is it?

For people who want a more objective look on things, you can check this newsreport on the event: Capsuleers Respond to Call to Arms, Navies fail to support!

In a nutshell, the 4 commanders showed a staggering incompetence. This has nothing to do with navy incompetence however, as they were never called to back up their commanders, neither did the commanders give any consideration to their capsuleer support fleet outside *go there*

One would think the navy commanders are now under investigation by their superiors, ready to recieve punishment for their gross incompetence.

Edit: this is probably the most spot on newsreport I've seen from the Gutter Press. Then again, sometimes you can't top reality in absurdity.

We've all known for some time that the states are getting nervous about the level to which capsuleers are now running things. I would not be at all surprised for this to be some kind of political machination from rogue elements within those states to try and divert some of the massive funds that capsuleers are able to tap into, en masse.

If they were, this would have been the worst way to do it. We Capsuleers get funds by doing CONCORD's and the major empires' work for them. Striking into nullsec at the Serpentis, if anything, is going to cause retaliation that will, as a Caldari student of mine said, "present substantial new business opportunities." Otherwise, this is simply another blip in history.

If they wanted our money, I doubt they would done so by increasing the tension anywhere. Shooting things is essentially where almost all capsuleers get their fabulous amounts of ISK.

Not an outrageous accusation. But then I tend to the paranoid. Metaphorically of course, the money is in the vats.

Ah... that cowardly rat Auvier Bauvon, who warped his nyx away when it started to get damage during battle for Caldari Prime?

And now, being afraid of losing horribly again, he brought just an interdictor. Luckily for us, he got popped. Well, not luckily that pirates succeeded, but what could you expect from such coward and incompetent "admiral" anyway?
