And given the outcry over CCP awox'ing 2000 plus high sec players last week, then gleefully broadcasting the carnage on screens at the party upstairs, what do you think what will happen when your version of Eve is implemented? (And yes, you and the other null sec cartel members have won, with the Ayn Rand disciple CCP Seagull rushing headlong in creating your dystopian version of Eve high sec).

Does CCP believe that it will easily replace the 30 or 40% of its sub base that will quit, or have you convinced the CCP decision-makers that the sheep will just meekly accept the wrecking of high sec, and the damage to the existing base will be minimal, and far offset by an influx of more sociopaths drawn to the game?

I persuaded them to offer hi-sec players a 90% discount for attending fanfest. Once they're all crowded into the main hall, the doors close and and the gas cannisters begin to seep.

Soon after, the Icelandic population, long since starved for good meat, and sick to death of eating cod, flock to buy choice cuts of "high sec" quality meat from CCP.

The money is used to buy reinforced nodes for the staging systems of every nullsec alliance.

I sleep well: the problem of EVE is finally solved.

Comments like this, by anyone else but a CSM member, would get the poster banned.

For a more realistic Answer:

Removal of all highsec industry slots.

The additional of a rental system, so players can, anonymously, rent industry time from other players POS (or similar)

If you were to do this, I would hate to see the state of the market afterwards...

You and all the others who think like you underestimate the amount of industry alts even new null sec players like me have.
null sec (and i am npc null) isk + dual account training = i can switch my isk making time to whatever i feel like/ makes the most isk. 1000's of other like me can easily replace the current slumlords if they pack it in (which they won't).

evolution.

survival of the fittest.

Only people that deserve to play eve will be allowed to continue.

eve will continue to grow as it always has done.

god I love the hypocrisy of the eve player base ... if npc industry slots are to go .. they ALL need to go
not just the high-sec slots .. but lo-sec and npc-nul as well

npc invention, research and manufacturing slots should all be treated with the same approach, you want to do any of those things then run a POS

Then don't sell PLEX in game for ISK. Solved.

Since they do, I'm going to get me one. :D

Let's say that someone doesn't wants, or can't, or chooses to not engage in ship to ship PvP. Let's say that, despite that, the same someone wants emerging gameplay, a cold harsh unforgiving universe and the lot... as long as it doesn't implies 5 minutes of terror and feeling suicidal later no matter the outcome.

Hisec is the perfect place to start building something like that because, all in al, it haves little ship to ship PvP compared to the rest of space.

Now let's say that we tie in the concept of non-ship PvP to NPCs and lore, and add some chess to the school bully boxing.

Let's say that we start looking at hiseccers not as lamb, or noobs, or uncomprehensible carebears, but adults with an adult passion for an adult game, and who deserve adult mechanics to pit heir brains over their abbiltiy to manage or enjoy adrenaline-pumped stress and teen bravado.

Responsive to what?

Of course they shouldn't. But they have designed it exactly that way, haven't they? Should I ignore their game design, or refuse to set 600 mil as my goal per month? If I find a way to make that much money, should I ignore the obvious expenditure? Is 600 million ISK worth more than $15 to me?

Dang, I'm such a greedy bastard.

I could do it through a number of ways but I'm doing it by providing a product that people want to buy for ISK.

I could do it by pirating, or begging, or ripping people off in any number of legal game ways.

Why is it so bad to you?

No. He's just snarkily feeding Dinsdale's long-standing and deep-seated paranoia against everyone who even remotely suggests that highsec could do with a bit more risk, often culminating in claims that they are out to get him in the real world as well…

You sure are welcome to do whatever you want in the game.

But what you do does not necessarily entitle you to that 600 million a month for a PLEX.

Exactly, if I commented about how I would really enjoy some unfortunate end to the cadre running null sec and that control the future direction of Eve, not only would I be banned from the forums, I would be perma-banned from the game. But Malcanis on the other hand, he has a CSM shield , plus apologists like Tippia, saying "it was a joke", when he suggests killing and cannibalizing high sec players.

As typical, massive double standard in the game.

I thought I was earning the 600 million a month for a PLEX.

Is putting a business plan together, feeding raw materials into a production chain, and picking up and managing the selling of the finished product not earning it?

Can I be concerned over someone having power over that chain to A) block it or b) tax it into unprofitability?

Honestly, I'll find some other way to get there if I can't get there that way. There are plenty of ways, after all.
