Killmail Bugs?

So, myself and other alliance members have been experiencing a recurring issue the last couple months with our pilots not being listed on killmails. This is despite having a clear indication in combat logs that there has been a scramble attempt. We have found this happens especially often with pod killmails and in wormhole space. From my experience, it's just one pilot that misses out. My question is, have you experienced this, and what were the circumstances?

Are they in a HIC?

It used to be (I'm not sure if it was ever fixed) that unless they try to warp while in the bubble, the HIC doesn't get on the mail.

I've pointed with disruptor, first to engage with a Harpy and didn't get on the kill; I've scrammed and webbed, you name it.

A bird whispered this has something to do with the server not prioritizing kill reports, I find this unacceptable.

Oh no! How will you ever prove your worth if you can't point at your elite killboard stats?

Heh, my corp had 3 days worth of kills disappear from the corp kill log... bit annoying.

We've also had people who shot at drones appearing on killmails while people who shot at the ship didnt...

What bothers me most is they still havent done the navy BC hull pricing. Not that I really care but its annoying, y'know? CCP fix kills pls.

This last time, the pilot was in a HIC however a scripted point was used.

Listen, everyone loves to be on shiny killmails. If you say otherwise, you're not being honest with yourself. I'm not ashamed to admit the giddy feeling it gives me seeing shinies get blapped and being a part of that. Now, what purpose do killmails serve if they aren't working properly?

The reason I've brought this up is it's not just an isolated incident where we're missing out on that drake killmail and I want to go cry on the forums about it. This is a repeated, documented, continued failing of killmails to register pilots.

If it's happening to other pilots, what can be done, CCP?

And if you're in a fleet you should get credit for having been there at least. I don't care if its shiny or not.

I haven't seen this bug. But the largest fleets I am ever in are 3-5 guys.

It happens in any fleet size, it's r-e-t-a-r-d-e-d and I want some confirmation that CCP is working on fixing this.

Not the case, we're well aware of how HIC aggression works. Personally missed out on a kill the other day even though I was initial tackle with a long point.

The closest to a pattern we've seen is initial tackle loses out on representation more often. One doesn't "attempt" to killmail whore, one does or doesn't and is represented or not, two completely different things.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

Ive attempted to be on lots of killmails by dropping a bomb in the middle of blobs. Many times the shear server load makes it so that my bomb isn't reflected on a killmail even though my combat log shows damage. I learned early on that if you petition a killmail because you feel you should have been on it, then the killmail simply gets removed, not amended.

Considering that CCP can't accurately parse the incoming damage when more than 4 or 5 people are on the kill-mail, it really shouldn't be surprising that they miss it all together.

This isn't good enough and needs to be looked at.

Well, regardless, I don't think it's something that should be tolerated. Someday it's going to be my first titan kill, and "nope, too bad." Grrrrrr...

Let's build on this some more..

So let's take this Brutix kill from this morning.

Kill: Gavin Gatera (Brutix)

Couple things. First off, this brutix spawned two pods. I suppose his corp name "Lightning Strikes Twice" was appropriate.

https://zkillboard.com/detail/34610012/
https://zkillboard.com/detail/34610013/

Second, again as been stated at the top of the thread, other pilots who scram'd the pods did not end up on the killmails.

Killmails are broken and are in dire need of attention by CCP.
