Building POS equipment in POS's

I recently set up my first POS in a WH and have had fun building lots of stuff. However, I noticed it appears I can build practically anything in a POS except POS equipment. ie towers, arrays, hardeners, hangars etc.

Am I missing something?? Is their a way of doing this?

If there isn't - is this a deliberate omission of a type of an item which can be built in a POS or is it an oversight by CCP?

If its a deliberate omission, would like to understand the rationale behind it when I can build everything else

Many thanks for your time in answering

POS structures need to be built in a station. As for the why, you'd probably have to ask a dev about that.

You cannot make any POS or celestial objects in a POS. Basically anything that can be anchored has to be made in a station (including containers). Chances are the new anchor-able structures coming out in Rubicon will also follow this same pattern and need to be manufactured in a station
