Looks great, but I would prefer a more intense warp effect, also some cool entering/exiting effects would be awesome.

This is intentional as it's your warp drive and your ships warp tunnel. The fleet warp still utilizes your ships warp drive, the fleet commander just initiates the warp for everyone.

Edit: That was a bit harsh but it just seems that today's build still is not as "wow" as it was when the new warp first appeared. Perhaps revert?

I know that it's intentional, but still, the 230 man fleet is at only a few kilometers away from you, but it doesn't look like you're with them.

"Technically", you are indeed supposed to be in your own warp tunnel, but the feeling of being with your fleemates, warping straight in the battle with our shiny v3'd battlesteeds along with Titans and Supercarriers...

Try it yourself, I dare you to say it doesn't look awesome to warp with your gangmates in that beautifull new warp effect.

If this is so, then those other ships right around you should have their own visible warp tunnels that are further distorting the view, creating a massive rendering problem that, if presented to your graphics coder, would probably cause one of those "pop" -> "head replaced by bloody stump" effects... and since good graphics engine coders are hard to find, I would imagine this to be a problem.

The cool thing about fleet warps has always been "okay, here we go, tons of ships, all together now..." and visual effects should match that feel, not conflict with it.

Any chance of tightening up the timing of the planet-entering effect? If you start from a planet and warp through that planet, the effect appears way too early. While your ship is barely moving in fact.

It appears that the effect is simply tied to distance, only distance, from the celestial. And this distance was set to some great value to cater for the incredibly huge warp speeds. The problem is that sometimes you aren't at incredibly huge warp speeds and that speed difference is huge, so when that distance from the celestial is too big it is really too big. You watch the planet simply fade out and be replaced by the warp-in-planet effect.

Wouldn't it just be a bit of maths to ensure the effect doesn't kick in too early nor too late, by simply calculating for speed also.

But it doesn't look as anywhere near as cool :(

what is missing is a whoooosh every time you fly through a planet. ;)

if the tunnel effect would be also used for warping through large objects or stations it would be perfect. (only objects on grid at warpin or warpout obviously)

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Personally, I like the fact that the warp tunnel briefly turns black when you warp through a celestial object. It looks nicer than just clipping through a planet.

I thought warping towards the sun looked great before. It was a big flaming fireball. Now that it isn't affected by the warp, it looks very ordinary. It just isn't as great as it was when you first added this new warp to Sisi. I think you guys toned it down too much now.

At least it looks okay going through planets. Making it so it didn't have the warp effect on the ship effects (armor rep graphics, etc) is good too.

+1 to boosting the warp-effect on the Sun, it looked tremendous before, and now the Sun barely wobbles...

I suspect it had something to do with the sun not being occuled by the ship during warp.

Apart from missing the red/blue shift, the first version was perfect.

Something I want to say about the red/blue shift:

Red/blue shifts are COLOR SHIFTS OF LIGHTS not an actual colored blob

So basically you will only see the effect only when there is some stars or planets slightly turning red/blue.

CCP please "fix" this.
