Before they open fire on you, you have a chance to offer a chance based bribe (naturally modified by skills & bribe amount).

If you fail the bribe, the police proceed to blow you up AND steal everything from your nearest hangar (or something equally bad).

Can be used in many situations, get police to destroy your enemies, let you off the hook after criminal actions, look the other way as you smuggle drugs through hi sec...so many possibilities!

Hm. No. Don't see anything wrong with how high sec ganking works, and I have been a victim multiple times losing well worth of around 2 billion in trade goods.

Well it could be counterbalanced. The victim might have a chance to "expose dirty cop" and earn a reward or something. The point being, police are way too basic...some of them should be dirty like in most of the world.

This smells very strongly of "roll a d20 for your charisma check".

No thanks. If you want to spend ISK to avoid concord retribution just hire another player to carry out the gank for you.

The point is not really to avoid ganking or whatnot it's more to have a fun mechanic to do hilarious things with. Should be a general mechanic so you can bribe all kinds of npcs into doing stuff they wouldn't normally do (within limits).

I have no idea what that means.

You mean like dungeons and dragons and such? No, I have not. Absolutely can't stand doing robot work (doing things manually when they could be automated). Using physical stuff like cards and dice is a big no-no for me. Love online poker, hate live poker.

Anywhoz, let's try the reverse of this idea. What if the police start doing bad things, and they have to bribe you to not report them to concord? Could be a whole new profession (internal affairs!)

Are you trying to "create" new content for the sake of new b̶a̶d̶ content?

fine, but only if it affections faction police, and not Concord.
