When CCP changed the ice belts, did they remove ice belts from some systems too? I am asking because i used to mine ice in the Moro system and now i can't find any.

Any info on that?

Once the ice is gone it takes 4 hours for it to respawn. They did remove some ice but I think it was from Amarr space. What most likly is happening is when your looking for the ice its hasn't spawned yet. So you need to find out what the time its going to respawn at.

Edit: Looked up the patch notes and some old wiki info. It looks like Moro did at one point have an ice belt but; I don't know when it was removed from the system. In the patch notes it doesn't say anything about Moro.

Quote:

Every system that previously contained a static ice belt will contain the new ice anomalies, with the exception of some high security systems in Amarr, Khanid and Ammatar territory. The complete list of high security systems that will contain Clear Icicle anomalies is: Afivad, Agal, Avada, Bashakru, Chanoun, Dantan, Dihra, Erkinen, Esteban, Gamis, Gelhan, Gosalav, Jarzalad, Jerma, Kothe, Manatirid, Miah, Moutid, Ordion, Raravoss, Riavayed, Seil, Talidal, Warouh.

If an ice anomaly has been completely cleared before DT then I believe the ice anomaly is respawned at the maximum amount after DT. Other than that once an ice anomaly is mined out it respawns after four hours.

Times for ice anomalies to be mined out vary greatly from thirty minutes up to three hours. It depends which ice type and where it is as to how long they last.

Ice no longer spawns as belts (that can be seen in your overview, or under right click > belts, etc.). They are now displayed under anomalies in the scanner window in the probe scanner tab.

Sigh.

Every single Ice Belt that spawns has the exact same number of available cubes: High Sec - 2500, Low Sec - 3000, Null Sec - 3500.

The time it takes to clear one out is absolutely only dependent on the number of ships mining and the type of Orca Boost (as secondary).

Sorta...kinda.....half-way right. And they do indeed spawn as 'belts' (albeit small ones).

Krixtal. There was nothing factually wrong with what I wrote. By ice type I meant that Caldari towers are more popular in high sec due to the increased CPU so Caldari ice is obviously in higher demand. Also some systems with ice anomalies are more popular than others and the ice in those systems is cleared very quickly. Eygfe comes to mind but there are many others I expect which are cleared in about thirty minutes.

I've mined practically solo in a Caldari belt for hours.....and I've mined as fast as I could against 200 others in Amarr belts.

"Where they are" is absolutely not a factor. How many are mining is.

... nevermind the fact that there are some systems out there that have 2 ice anoms per spawn as a legacy of having 2 ice fields before Odyssey.

For those concerned about quantity, It doesn't get any easier than that as far as availability goes for any miner since you're looking at 2x 2,500 blocks at the same time if the spawns are more or less in synch due to mining activity.
