EVE General Discussion

I've been away from EVE for a few months gathering my thoughts. Prior to this time I had never played any other MMO but EVE, so I decided to try a couple of them out.

First I tried World of Warcraft. I lasted for a couple of hours but pretty quickly got turned of by the sheer cartoonishness of it.

Then I tried Guild Wars 2. At first this seemed like it would be better, it had a good look and feel. Then I got to a place where some other player was fighting some kind of boss NPC. I thought, "sweet, I'll just wait at a safe distance until that guy kills that thing, then run in and steal the loot." Then the player died, and I figured I had hit the jackpot as I ran up to loot his corpse. Imagine my disappointment when I found there was no way for me to take his ****! That game was obviously not for me, and after a day or two I quit. Those were the only 2 MMOs I tried, but I'm sure that all the others are equally worthless.

So now I'm back at EVE, where I just spent a glorious afternoon in Dodixie stealing **** and smacktalking carebears. I wanted to thank CCP for making a game that is still the only MMO worth playing. More than that though, I want to thank all the scumbags, scoundrels, belligerents, gankers, thieves, alleged scammers and imaginary spaceship rapists who make this community what it is. It is you, the players, who distinguish EVE from all other games.

Compare a SFI game with Fantasy games yah good.... Not play X3, Star Trek online. Star Wars online, And plenty more. The are all fun but when you end the game at the end its a boring game. I play all off them. My first online game was Anarchy Online, i dont know if this is still there.... but he go search it

I miss ultima online, it had the best way to kill people and steal all their crap. GM Poison trap a box and just leave it on the side of the road. Unsuspecting idiot goes "HEY A FREE BOX WITH STUFF IN IT" tries to open it then dies. Then you take all of his stuff, move down the road and put the box back down.
