Especially edge set and centurion.

Can their effects be modified a bit?

Edge set should have a high grade variant - and - include a reduction to the chance of suffering side effects.
Centurion should have a high grade variant and include an ECM strength bonus.

Edge set currently provides about a 50% reduction to side effect severity, that's a full low-grade set with omega. Now for certain ships this isn't really helpful especially if you're flying for effect in a buffer ship and even then it's questionable whether or not a hyperion would get more mileage from a slave set than edge. Once those side effects come rolling in your ship is potentially crippled.

With perfect skills and the current edge set implanted an improved booster will net you 13% penalties on those which do go through. That's pretty good but you still have a 20%+ chance of suffering a side effect, and for a set that literally can cost BILLIONS in the plural of billion to acquire this doesn't go far enough.

My Proposal is to have a full set generate about a 20% penalised reduction to the chance of suffering a side effect, netting a user of improved booster having a 16% chance to suffer a side effect instead of 20%. Similarly a strong pill user goes from 28% with perfect skills to 22% as a chance to suffer a side effect, on top of the reduction to the severity of side effects which sit at 16% with perfect skills and a full edge set.

Centurion should be similar in principle - much weaker secondary effect that improves the strength of an ECM type by a marginal %.

Like quite a few other problems in EVE this boils down to: LP stores should have dynamic pricing. The cost of items in low demand should fall, that of the highest high demand items should rise.

What about having them distributed through more than one supplier? Since all pirate factions have booster bpc available I think it's kind of silly they don't offer a set which enhances their use. The drawback for the implant set are already compensated for through the boosters themselves providing a direct negative effect through their use.

I'm OK with the sets having a limited supply: if they're truly in demand then people will find a way to farm them. What I'm not OK with is that a Centurion set costs the same as a Slave set "just because". If we had dynamic pricing, then the price of redeeming them would fall to the point where people would actually want to buy them.

Likewise, why must a +5% Large Hybrid Turret Damage implant cost the same LP and ISK from he LP store as an evidently superior +5% Turret Damage implant.

Is this significant enough to make official?
