CCP...A Question Regarding Your Stance Toward The Playerbase

With Darius Johnson, a former CCP employee, defending the actions of CCP in this thread, I was curious as to whether or not this represents the feelings of the whole of your company.

In the past year, there has been literally scandal after scandal.

First the ToS changes.

Then, the string of SOMER incidents:

-Non-player made items, and rare valuables being gifted to SOMER, who then...

-Are also shown to be receiving the limited and extremely valuable IshScorps behind the scenes. After which SOMER...

-Is caught running a "Redacted" business model, making RL cash from those who chose to deal with them. So they were told to stop, and then...

-Choose to ramp up their "Redacted" business.

Now we have massive amounts of skillpoints being given back to players.

But these things happen. What worries me more, is that an ex-employee is sperging all over General Discussion, defending the questionable policies that you have chosen follow in the past year.

Is this truly the way that CCP sees things?

Did you not learn the harm that is caused when you choose to incessantly ignore those who play your game?

Why is an ex-CCP employee still acting as if he speaks for the company?

Does the CSM mean nothing anymore?

Should we all just take your consistent silence as a sign that you no longer care about the game that made CCP a multi-national company?

Some answers from someone that actually still works for the company would be great.

Thanks!!! Big smile

I was in that thread.

Things got heated, and some people got really over the top.

Genuinely interested if there's going to be some official responses.

Too true, lol.

But seriously, guys.

On topic here.

I want to know if CCP is even aware that EvE exists anymore.

All I ever see is Guard, Fozzie, and Rise......sometimes Falcon.

I guess now they are outsourcing EvE to former employees.

Because a former employee clearly represents an entire company.

Also why do CCP owe it to Erotica1 to discuss their handling of a support ticket regarding another player? That's sort of stupid for any business to do.

Because he could have actually provided the information needed to see that Heavy Rayne did what he did of his own volition.

It has been thoroughly documented.

Stop you're ruining their transparent attempts to manufacture drama to draw attention to whomever the **** erotica 1 is in the hopes he gets a free trip to Iceland.

Mostly because it's a ridiculous miscarriage of what the rules are and have been for the last, oh, half a decade?

And you are sperging for a company you no longer work for.

Go back to the other thread.

Never defended CCP. At all. As a matter of fact I posted to the contrary. It's cool though because I can also post threads and I'm going to blow up your spot in a minute.

Read this sentence.

There's a key word in it you should use to understand why that request is utterly stupid from a business to accept.
