I listened to the pod cast dec of war and was happy to hear all the tears from the null sec care bears crying that they will be getting griefed with siphon units. Where is all the concern when these large alliances grief other players and corps and alliances with broken game mechanics??.

I guess it’s ok as long as they are the ones doing the griefing and not getting griefed. I am not surprised by the hypocrisy but I am annoyed that CCP are already making change because of these squall babies like turtle and freeze. The input from the csm seems to be split.

I wasn’t that interested in siphons before, but seeing all the tears these guys are shedding I think I will fund these siphons even if they are not cost effective.

I was curious if anyone else was looking forward to dropping the siphons?

I am looking forward to siphons. I have asked Dear Leader for but a single region to siege, and He has granted me the entire world.

Mmmm karma.

Dotlan has moons for most systems, you have to check each system for the moons it contains though, no way to find systems with Neo moons for example.

True, but i've been told on good authority that Dotlan's moon system is deliberately messed around with by the Alliances, for the very reason to protect the locations of their valuable moons. But, as of now its the only resource available so i guess i'll test its accuracy. I'm told that people within the Alliances themselves generally have such information available to them, but obviously it isn't something they generally like to share. I can only hope some get leaked or something, that would be lovely! Cool
I'll honestly be surprised if it's not leaked already. Don't forget, enemies will be happily dishing out this info, and since no major moon changes have happened, only the additional ones have been added, most of the old data will still be relevant.

We have pretty good moon data.

Wanna hear about some nice pandemic legion lowsec moons?

I'm not trying to leak any details or anything, but I've taken a week off to do ~things~ following the deployment of Rubicon.

Looking at all the moaning and groaning going on with regard to Rubicon, may I suggest that EVE be renamed...

Er, I know, SHADENFREUDE. Big smile

Because it seems that that is one of the main reasons why a lot of people play EVE.

Ah well, each to his or her own, I suppose.

The Null Sec Obeisity epidemic has become so terrible, there are now forum posts about it. You can see it, it used to be a lot of slim Vagabonds in null, now it's all pot bellied Dominixes flyinh around. Yesterday I saw a Moros riding a hovaround at wal-mart.

Oh dead thread... rise from your grave!!!

So, now that the siphons have dropped, how is it going?

It might be a bit too soon to tell. It may take a few weeks to chart the rise and fall of fortunes in the "Siphon War". Big smile

Well he said that dec of war podcast so I am assuming he meant our (Alek's) "Declarations of War" Podcast. Though I hadn't listened to the recent episode and was unaware of any siphon discussion.

EDIT: NM I guess we did go over the siphons in podcast DOW 61 in the CSM panel discussion. Not sure how I missed that.

We are not going to know about the effects of siphons until people start using them.

The only thing I see changing is that it'll be possible to harass SOV holders by forcing them to visit their mining arrays more. I don't see any nullsec alliances going down nor anybody from the outside getting filthy rich on this.

One thing that would matter though is if a large enough highsec alliance started making a habit of sneaking into nullsec with these siphons. Think of it as someone intentionally trying to be a "highsec mooning mining corporation".

That would be entertaining.
