The comments in this thread are quite good, lots of good ideas guys.

One other thing I'd like to touch on is how exploration is tied into navigation. Someone posted an idea here:
Navigate ancient mine-fields. I think this would be great. It's like bubble camps but PVE style.
- They could have them at increasing difficulty. So in hi-sec your ship can handle the aggro if one blows ups and they are wider apart. At the opposite end it would be a very tight fit and setting off even one mine would insta-pop any exploration frigate and do.
- Restrictions: Only a solo activity so acceleration gate only allows 1 ship, frigate size. Mines respawn if you leave the grid so you can't just sacrifice 5 frigates and speed through it.
- Rewards scale as such that doing the hardest ones takes lots of time, trial and error, frustration, and a very good reward upon completion.

This is just one of many ways they can make exploration more fun. Right now the PVE in this game is a bit routine, incursions and sleepers were great new additions but time to expands the non-combat PVE too.

The word you are looking for is "wormholes".

been in wormspace and it aint what its so hyped up to be, and its nothing to explore to be honest, its sites much like in low/highsec, just a bit harder. And thats not even exploration.
Exploration is when ure looking for something u aint really looking for, with no clue what ure doing or going lol

eve contains more than exploration.
prehaps your boredom would be sated by exploring an area of eve you haven't tried at all/ recently /enough.

Money at its root is a form of rationing. When the richest 85 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion (50% of humanity) it is clear where the source of poverty is. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/20/trickle-down-economics-broken-promise-richest-85

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.
