And you guys are butt hurt about losing you space pixels, and pissed that CCP dragged a bunch of risk averse autistic squirrel to their deaths.

You made a statement not referring to any of the previously discussed topics in the post by others. Then a question when the answer was in the official Eve post and anyone who has been following the event knows what happened to that fleet. So Yes Trolling.

Thanks for your contribution though.

This is a great read guys.

The only thing that i have an issue with is we didn't know that the destination point was were it was .We only found this out 10mins before hand. Being construction does anyone know where this was posted prior to the event?

No one in HS to my knowledge knew where the event was going to be staged and i think this is one of the biggest points of confusion when discussing the topic.

Ok crap fleet comp half shield tank, half armor tank, ( im sure some with both ) no logi, crappy FC, very limited coms, your in TiDi, your enemy has an hour to move into position not in TiDi, Spys in your fleet up the butt, and your moving into a warzone area.

Sounds like fun

if an event is only fun for one side, that event has pretty much failed.

Event was a success, the issue is high sec is not used to losing, they never face anything dangerous and it shows in their outrage at getting crushed.

Ok just took part of the event. This simply put was a set up by CCP to hand kills to lowsec!

How did RAZOR get set up that quickly of it wasn't for time dilation allowing then nearly an hour get get their ahead of the dilated systems! Our fleet jumped in to what was simply put... a set up. Was this CCP's present to RAZOR ? perhaps all the goons complaining about "carebears" was too much and the Dev's gave in?

I love PVP, i love the game. But this set up is utterly unacceptable!

Its this sort of **** that makes people stop playing Eve. CCP you should be ashamed of yourself.

We are deployed to Doril so took like 3 min to set up the gate camp when we knew they where going through there.

EXACTLY!!!

CCP said the empire would be "helping us out" - No Empire to be seen.

Excuse me, this is a teaching experience.

It's ultra-known that in EvE (and not only) if you "have a fight" or "have a fair fight" it's because the other guy committed a serious mistake.

If the other guy knows WTF he's doing, you WILL get slaugthered witihout a single hope to get out.
The winners will thus say: "it was a fair fight and we won".

Welcome to story 101.

Been playing since 2006, never bothered with any live events because bluntly, i don't trust CCP as far as I can throw them, and never have. They are basically a bunch of chancers who got lucky a decade ago and ever since they have needed EVE subscribers to tell them how to play their own game, and the conflicts of interest that have arisen since would put the EU / IMF Troika to shame.

Most people thought CCP had engineered some new mechanic where they were forming LS fleets (pirates) and flagging them so their could be a 0.5 sec fight. That was one of the general ideas. (temp security status drop etc)

Look i went into the fight partially PVE but mostly PVP fit as i had no idea what the event was going to be. Hence i lasted one's standing of the first blood bath and actually got on a kill unlike most. The TiDi coupled with CCP FC skills and "just jump to Planet 4 when the bubble dispersers rubbish" caused loads of High Sec players to die on probably their first LS adventure. What sort of Dev doesn't know that the bubbles will just get re deployed in the instant they are down and that you wouldn't last long enough to just "warp out" Every wormholer and NullSec guy does.

What takes the **** more is the actual event would have been over even if we had made it past the gate by the time we got their.

What surprises me the most is how CCP want to setup events but:

- they tend to be terrible at their game

- there are less good CCP FCs than in an hi sec 5 men mining corp.

Therefore, if they ever wanted to "smoothly introduce" new players to the hot spots of EvE, they failed in the most horrific way.

If they planned to get a 10% raise in newbies subs they will face a 20% drop instead, and all of this for the reasons above.

well, i would expect any person planning a trip to any null sec with a sizeable fleet to actually take a look at what is actually happening in the area, who's living there, what are their primetime etc..... sounds to be FCing 101 to me....

This is the concerning part. It would appear that the Dev's don't follow any of the NullSec Politics. Everyone knew the area was on fire. Hence wrongly thinking they had done something to assist in getting through. No one i spoke to ever thought CCP would send a H.S fleet through such a zone with no back up what so ever.

Well then the people you spoke to are, quite frankly, idiots.

Why on earth would you suspect CCP to step in and provide protection or help to allow you to reach an event? Why would you ever WANT something like that.

check your entitlement, bro

CCP putting the event in a location that resulted in people flying into a hot area and not doing a damn thing to interfere with the developments that arise in such a situation is actually a good thing.

As it was my first ever aggressive endeavor into Null I will concede that it was a very sobering experience but would point out that I would love to do similar again.
I only really started to realize just how organised some Peeps in this game are whilst trying to navigate my Pod home safe, was truly a whole new game for me, opened my eyes one could say, so in that respect I do believe the event was a success.

Yes it was poorly organised from my (noob) point of view, yet..and this cant be denied..it was bloody exciting play, I managed to get to the destination event and even engaged a few boats for a cpl of mins before my beloved Ishkur felt the full effect of nobody repping.
I didn't get any kills though which in all honesty is my only real disappointment other than not really seeing the actual event itself as it was over by the time the fleet I was conscripted too beat the tidi meta.

Lets do it again Please Ccp, just this time a lil differently :)

Any Ishkur replacement donations can be contracted directly to this char..who will then ensure that the haribo'd alt in question has no qualms whatsoever about the consequences of her involvement and participation in that there trespassing exercise.

So, let's organize it and do it again, but win this time. Take something out. Carebears in space with guns. Okay, maybe not win but at least get a couple kills (shots off at least!) before asploding.

It was a CCP launch event. Which turned out to be a CCP Dev high sec gift to LS/Null for cannon fodder. Please name the last event where they did this and i will surely bow to your Superior knowledge. Why don't you try reading the rest of the posts to actually understand the context that responce and in fact the responce to the response was written in.
