When travelling with the covert ops cloak on sisi, using stratios, travelling has become a nightmare.

There appears to be no bonus to recloak delay, which by default is 30 seconds. This may either be deliberate or overlooked?

On it's own this means having to wait at gatecamps etc for the time to pass before continuing in the normal manner for a covert ops equipped ship.Although annoying, players can adapt even though it makes travel slow and removes the gain from warp drive mechanics.

The major problem is that the timing between landing and decloaking, passing through the gate, and reappearing, and then waiting for the time to pass is NOT 30 seconds, it is inconsistant, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, there is no indication whatsoever. This is Just nasty, and this will lead to mass stratios deaths.

Can you please look into this and whether having the cloak delay longer than the 2 session changes is a bad bad bad idea?

If not at least make the timing consistant?

Thanks

The re-cloak delay may not be an oversight, however, when it comes to moving from one star system to another, it would be nice if the clock reset. Otherwise, it will be a matter of waiting 15+ seconds for the timer to cool off before moving again or you will have to de-cloak when landing on a gate prior to jumping. Workable, but annoying.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Covops cloaks have been doing this on Tranquility for some time. I fly a stealth bomber fairly often and notice it when I am impatient. Essentially if I try to re-cloak before the session timer expires after coming through a gate I almost certainly hit the error on recloaking. The funny thing is that if I wait until the session timer expires in a few seconds then it's fine but if I get impatient and trigger the error the timer for using the cloak again seems to reset to 15 seconds, regardless of how long the session timer has left.

Ah that might be the behaviour I am seeing, naturally with 30 seconds that is more often noticeable.
Sometimes the time is from when the ship uncloaks when initiating jump sometimes 30 seconds shows even though some time has passed.
Sounds like a bug to work around rather than a feature. - new variable recloak timer fun for all!

It really slows down travel though.quite painful, found you get around faster and safer with the MWD Cloak trick, but I understand the reason there is some recloak delay but I would have thought the stealth bomber timer would have been ample to keep things in balance.
Ideally as the previous poster said reset timer on leaving system. Perfect all round solution, actually thought that was already the case as I had never seen this Behaviour on live, as every ship I used with the covert cloak had a bonus of some sort.
