If you leave highsec, people will shoot at you.*

I don't know why I have to say this, but apparently you forgot about that aspect of the game.

*people will shoot at you in highsec, too.

That's why I got into a clean clone and flew a ship I do not care about.

Its also why such a large fraction of the player base stays in high sec.

No one minds losing ships. Everyone hates running in a fleet with an FC who can't put his trousers on the right way around. In this case CCP decided they can FC, what we found out is CCP can't FC.

It does make you wonder how much better the game would be if some of the top Eve players were put in charge of coming up with features.

My long term goal is joining a nice corp in null for a mix of PVE and PVP. Till then im going to skill up a bit in Highsec, get ready for marauders and other things.

If you go into these things, go in expecting to lose ships. It's why I always, always giggle like a loon when you see people losing faction fit ships on these Events. Also, thank god I swapped the Cerberus out for a Rifter. That Frigate saved my butt,

if you like highsec so much you should form an intimate and loving relationship with it, pool your resources to invest in upcoming residential areas and procreate wisely and frugally.

Really? My experience has been exactly the opposite. If you can point me to these mythical people who have a well-adjusted sense of risk taking, I might reverse my recent disillusionment with EVE.

You mean like how CCP Fozzie singlehandedly multiplied the number of usable Eve ships by six (and then promptly made interceptors overpowered)?

I don't understand why people are complaining CCP did a bad job of holding a live event. That's better than how things usually go. People should be thanking them.

no one who went to the event mind losing ships most of the outrage was over time wasted, organization and mislead, maybe you should have read the chat channels regarding the event to see or nah.

But please do go on.

Disregard OP, come to Providence.

People will shoot at you less there!

CCP have about 300 people working on Eve. Look at all the patch notes over the last year or two. Now take all the stuff done by Fozzie and Rise out of them. What the **** do the other 297 people do. Sack them and hire 10 guys like fozzie and Rise and you have a LOT more content coming out of CCP.

Oh keep Guard though. He might have a bit too much of a thing for Somer and his crew but he is funny as ****.

To all participants in the CCP live event complaining about the massacre, you only have yourselves to blame for this easily avoidable outcome. The correct tactic was to jump in another 1000 people to crash the node. Any null sec resident could have told you this.

Get to null as fast as possible and learn how to play from there. Better isk, better corp mates and a chance to learn how to pvp in easily replaceable ships even if you just tackle while flying really fast. You'll also have to find out how fast fleets move some fcs broadcast ohers don't. Listening skills are very important.

Don't fall for a high sec corp pretending they will be able to teach you how to play either. The isk is terrible in empire unless you get the loot drop, but that's down to luck.

Check the recruitment forum it'll be the best decision you've ever made.

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.

Well at least you admit that you don't understand. Next time you don't understand something, please refrain from making a thread about it.

We had about 4000 people in total, CCP just spread us too thin, we could have blobbed so hard even the blobbers of null would bow to our blobbing.

You are right! If CCP makes something crappy it's still better than making it really horrible. That are the standards we should measure it in..

I'll just quote myself from this post:
Noriko Mai wrote:
You don't get it. The people are mad because the had to travel hours with 10% TIDI. They are mad because the event was over before they were even there although they met hours before the event even started. They are mad, because there was no communication from CCP.

And to the 0.0 guys that are amused by the TIDI rage. You bridge in a system and have a fight with TIDI. I'm very tense to your reactions after traveling 2-3 hours with 10% TIDI to your "battlefield".

EDIT:
I have to admit to be on the 0.0 side. But your pseudo "Carebear tearharvesting sh*t" is sometimes really pathetic.
