Mission Runner moving to Quiet (zero to 4 others logged in local at a time) Low Sec area to play, since I am bored with HS PVE.

Primary reasons for Low Sec, is the stress level... I want it to be higher, but don't really care to blow up other players. I've tried Null and thought it was as boring as HS for PVE.

I have a small group to mission with most of the time (3 or 4 players, me and the kids) and we want to fit a mid slot for a PVP related ECM or TD item to discourage the occasional PVP player attacking us. I am not worried about blobs too much since I watch local all the time and will just park it if there are too many players in local. I know it could still happen, but I'll just replace the ships if it does.

The Goal is.

To enjoy the Stress of Low Sec, but not get blown up as often.

Any ideas for the ewar mod.

PS... The PVE part is really easy now, so tank is not an issue. I've already run all the missions with an empty mid and we're good.

Ships
Caldari Cerb
Typhoon (cloaky)
Scythe Fleet (cloaky)
Blackbird (when he plays, he's 11 and more into Roblox)

Thanks for any thoughts.

Still trying to find my happy place in this game.

What are you asking for? What ewar mod to fill that empty midslot with? Obviously if you are in a PvE fit- and you get tackled, the only way you are getting untackled is with ECM. Or if you can scram him as well, and provided you are dual prop- fly to freedom.

Overall this is just a really weird question, and I am not sure what you are trying to ask here.

Fair enough..

Question was obvious I suppose...

I'll just fit an ECM Omni or WD and see what happens.

Low sec has a stress level? huh if you say so.

with 3-4 people at any given time.. move into a wormhole C4 and run those sites with some RR T3's and really feel the stress levels rise. no local to rely on, only Directional scan. that will really make your cheeks clench until you get used to it.

Also, watch that wallet grow and maybe one day i'll stumble upon you and be that occasional pvp player coming for you Big smile

The best answer I can give you? Use D-Scan and you'll never have to worry.

First of all... Epic parenting.

As to your question, the best advice would be to make sure that everyone is watching D-Scan. With 3-4 knowing to spam the button, you shouldn't be caught by surprise. Be sure to kill any scram rats from the field first and, if you see new ships on scan, align and be ready to run.

If you are caught, you have some decent options running that many ships. If you have a BB on field, have him move well away from the rest of the group and just be aligned out. Make sure everyone knows how to identify the tackle on field, have the BB target those first, rest of the group runs. At worst, you're losing a 30mil-ish BB.

Secondly if you're still wanting to run additional ECM from your group, look more towards Sensor Damps with targeting range reduction. Once in a mission, move away from the gate as fast as you can this will give you time to run if happen to miss D-Scan. If someone pops into the mission, have everyone align out, target the newcomer, damp, and run when they can.

low sec missioning is not really that stressful tbh. I used to do it in Turnur way back in the day and it was easy as pie. then FW changed and I switched to FW and never looked back.

I suppose if I was to do it now with one account I'd use an ishtar or gila. 700dps, level 4 tank and faster align than a BS. With 2 accounts I'd use 2 aforementioned ships... or maybe a tornado+ishtar to mix it up. I dunno... worlds your oyster really.
