That i do not know, we're quite as baffled as you guys really. If they intentionally did it its pretty ****** up, if they just ****** up it kind of speaks of incompetence really, since that means the event team did not even bother informing themselves where the big powerblocks are currently fighting and where their stagings are.

We are deployed to Doril so took like 3 min to set up the gate camp when we knew they where going through there.



We went into syndicate from the placid region. Didn't see any gate camps. Saw some TiDi. We shot some people in null then went back home in lowsec.

See its sounding more like incompetence also played a massive part. Thing is this is a PVE event where they threw PVP into the mix. But hardly anyone got to see the PVE event and have no idea what the launch event was meant to be lol

See, I kind of view that as a cop out. CCP should have made it that failure cost something - lore wise or in game mechanics. Having it self destruct robs both sides of any real meaning. Sure the pirates/null seccers were more about the pew-pew, but having something to show for it would have made their smugness even greater. If the carebears had pushed on and destroyed the facility, they would have had a sense of accomplishment which no one could have taken away from them. Imagine if the carebears did have that sense of accomplishment. Imagine them feeling like they could go into low, null and not only survive, but come out feeling great about what they did.

Just heard about that and have to say: Well played CCP... I'm deffinatly out now as soon as my sub runs out.

I started EVE 8 years ago to play a scifie game, not a social experiment... CCP can keep it's little sociopath club.
