What exactly is moon goo anyway?

GAH!!! I need more skillpoints, need to see more of the world...

"Moon goo" refers to minerals that are extracted from moons by structures anchored near them in space. They are of different kind than the minerals one would extract from asteroids using a mining laser or from planets using PI infrastructure, and are used in the manufacture of T2 equipment.

Moon mining is a corporate activity rather than an individual one, so one potentially exciting aspect of the siphons is that they would, in theory, allow individuals to get in on the action. In practice, well, we shall see.

Haha, sure, I'm always up for a little tourism...

Maybe I can get The Mittani's autograph while I am out there?

I endured about ten minutes of this until my mind revolted and I was forced to shut it off.

I got something about TEST, N3, Megathrons, and the dregs of southern null sec.

I feel sorry for whoever had to listen to this whole thing, really, I do.

Sad
Ugh

I at least saw no broadcast alluding to such a broadcast.

You would think it would be linked while we were helpless, like stuck in 10% tidi on a node about to crash

Devs have added a special supplemental hold to the syphon units - one for moon goo, the other for goon tears. Initial indications are that the latter volume could be in units of km^3Blink

Now if someone would just like to supply me with lots of tasty Intel on Null sec alliances valuable Moon-Goo locations, that would be very welcome! Big smile

Mmmm karma.

Dotlan has moons for most systems, you have to check each system for the moons it contains though, no way to find systems with Neo moons for example.

Remember folks, anyone who is or was ever in a big nullsec is pure evil, because they're elitists. And being an elitist in a video game makes you worse than every despotic European leader in the 40's combined, you bad, bad, awful people.

I disagree with including people who left behind big null, but those who are in big null (did we just coin a term?) are definitely elitist jackasses who think they are more important than the rest of hte player base, and for that reason these siphons are great. No more afk moon income for them. Lol

True, but i've been told on good authority that Dotlan's moon system is deliberately messed around with by the Alliances, for the very reason to protect the locations of their valuable moons. But, as of now its the only resource available so i guess i'll test its accuracy. I'm told that people within the Alliances themselves generally have such information available to them, but obviously it isn't something they generally like to share. I can only hope some get leaked or something, that would be lovely! Cool

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

Do you honestly believe there will be goon tears?
You don't think it's perhaps that you just don't like goons, so you feel empowered by trying to make it sound like they will be getting heavily saddened by a bunch of players suiciding themselves into moons?

I'll honestly be surprised if it's not leaked already. Don't forget, enemies will be happily dishing out this info, and since no major moon changes have happened, only the additional ones have been added, most of the old data will still be relevant.

it's a griefing tool to be fair, I only wish it could be deployed off grid so that the pos owner would have to do some work and scan it down to find it lol...

Please CCP can I has it off grid?

Off grid would make sense, what is wrong with you? P

A few more patrols might be sent out in order to flush these big obvious things from the grid where then can easily be spotted. Preaching the doom of null sec due to siphoners is about as silly as saying you can't get your barge away from a ganker. They do have a POSSIBLE strategic effect, IF they could be deployed in massive numbers. This would have the effect of an actual guerilla campaign in that the afflicted would have to divert larger amounts of resources and pilots to patroling and cleaning. But this simply wlll not happen. In fact, the few patrols that do get sent out are probably going to have to go on weight watchers after they get bloated from killing the people trying to deploy them. Hell, I might even fly out there in a cloaky ship with a bag of popcorn just so I can laugh.

Hey, Marzetti... Are you guys going to start selling popcorn, or theatre addmissions?

Excuse me, I have some rocks to mine...
