If it looks too good to be true it usually is.

Man up, burned my greedy fingers at something similar one time, I'm still here.

Next time with over a 1000 players in local and you are the only one finding this little treat you should ask yourself why no-one else grabbed that item before you did. Surely something is wronk here?

Have you ever seen "Born to Kill"?

I for one can't find better (smarter) people to fight against in any other game.

sorry to be abrupt, but you are the only one to blame regarding this BPC scam.

you said you right clicked the blueprint, and took a look at "info" tab.

well, this is stated, in the top, that it is a "blueprint copy", not an original.

on the market tho, it is stated they are "originals".

in a nutshell, you made a mistake, you are the one to blame.

375mil...item is raven navy issue blueprint copy.....Only good for one run and unsaleable on the market.

can't speak about prices but you don't buy ORIGINAL blueprints of faction ships. You only get copies, you build ship from it and sell/use the ship.

Looking at gallente ships i think 375mil maybe a little too much for BPC but i am not sure.

Anyway you were not scammed.

But if this accident makes you hate the game and its players you right - you need to stop playing.

Like others have said, If it's too good to be true it normally is.
But also as others have said, use this as a learning experience, and don';t do it again. It's not the end of the world, and if this is the most you lose to a scam, think yourself lucky. Just remember, if it seems like too good a deal, or if you have even a shadow of a doubt, don't do it. Then you should be safe.

Now for the bad news.
If that was a BPC, and it showed on the market, that means it was in fact not a Raven Navy Issue bpc, since they aren't on the market. That was a Raven BPC. It's worth a couple of mil tops.

This demonstrates that you are emotionally or intellectully fit for this game. Your other MMO experiences (you mention "aution houses") also probably means that you are unable to understand the things that make EVE great (EVE is best enjoyed by people not tainted too much by other MMO experiences, because MMOs basically suck).

No crime in that, EVE isn't for everyone despite what these 'playstyle egalitarians" claim. But you should try to understand that the probme lies with yo and your expectations, not a game that has survvied and thrived in 10 years while most MMOs fail in a fraction of that time.

Was reading and quite interested until I saw JITA and then I lol'd. Why do you think the lions hunt at the water hole? Eve's a tough game, we like it that way, it's a game like no other and that comes at a price. We've all been through the same thing, think of it as an initiation.

I've contracted you 9 PVP fit merlins just outside Jita, it's not much but should allow you a bit of fun PVP in your last few days. See how you feel after that, not everything is bad in New Eden, you just have to take care and have your wits about you. Good luck!

I had been scammed.

There are many scams in EVE but this wasn't one. Let me clear some things up for you: There are no BPOs (Blue Print Original with infinite runs) for Navy ships. Either you buy the assembled ship from the LP-Store or you buy a 1-run BPC from it. You bought the latter one from a player who was too lazy to build it himself, even at a price that should make you a nice profit; not nearly as high as you thought, as you probably mixed the BPC up with a regular Raven BPO (that's a different ship!). So let's run the numbers:

With Production Efficiency V and current Jita sell prices you need minerals for roughly 164 mil ISK. Counting in the BPC for 375 mil you have a total of 539 mil. Current sell price for the ship in Jita is around 581 mil, so that's a profit of 42 mil before taxes. Not too bad if you ask me.

Edit: I just looked up your contract history and it really was just a regular Raven BPC that you bought, not the Navy version, so forget what I wrote above.

Seeing that she show info'd the blueprint, viewed it on market, then saw a 935m isk buy order (which happens to be the buy order in jita for a Raven BPO) this certainly sounds like a scam to me, just not the scam he though it was. This was a Raven BPC being sold as a Raven Navy Issue BPC. As he didn't know about BPC/BPO, he show info'd it, then looked at the market price, which lead him to believe this item was worth 935m.
The scammer wasn't targeting him specifically, they were trying to make a Raven BPC look a like a RNI BPC at a reasonable price, but it was a scam nonetheless. He has maybe a couple of m in a Raven BPC.

Zaryn Nyruc, if that's really a RNI bpc... just send me a mail ingame and link that bpc (only the link, no wall of text pls!) and we may do some nice business.

Op, i was going to troll, but i dont even know where to start.

So instead i will say this, do you want to pvp? There are many corps that will take in newbros with almost no SP.

1)Get a rifter
2)fit a point (scram os disruptor)
3)fit a web
4)join :pirate:Pirate corp
5)????
6)Profit!!

....seriously, you dont even need ammo or guns, they pretty much just want you to point and or die trying.

I did lie a bit about profit, you will still be spacepoor, but you will have corpies now who have it in their better interests to train you how to support yourself.

I actually managed to draw something intelligible out of this wall-of-text.
You didn't get scammed, you mouth-breather. The finished product will sell for 700mil.

If you're seriously going to quit, contract me all your belongings for 0 ISK and biomass. I will put that Navy Raven BPC to good use.

I see in local chat a contract for a raven navy issue blueprint. i click the contract and see the item is raven navy issue blueprint copy. I hopped in rookie chat, explained my situation, linked my item, and then found out it was a copy. Of an original. Worthless. Only good for one run and unsaleable on the market.

So first you checked and found out was a copy

Paid for it anyway

Realized you made a stupid mistake when it wouldn't sell

Went to rookie chat to cry about how you got scammed but apparently didn't realize

Got told it was a copy anyway

Came to forum expecting people to feel bad for you
