Issues, Workarounds & Localization

While logging in for the first time today, the client started an update and downloaded it. This kicked off the launcher to update and configure the eve patch, like usual. Logs in fine, character selection screen, but after this, on multiple accounts, and even multiple computers, all start to login, the grey bar gets half way, then slowly fills, and stays like that. Stuck on "Entering game as ...." and does nothing. Left it sit, went to a black screen with the bar still showing, but does nothing. No sound either. Tested on this computer and a desktop next to it, same problem.

Usually I don't come to the forums but non of the other posts describe this problem and figured I may as well post. I have tried repairing the client then rebooting, still the problem persists. Has worked fine all days leading up to this.
