Is the intention for there to be 2 types of cruiser. One in high and one from null? With slightly different stats? Or is the 2nd kind some sorta giveaway ship?

Did I misread something that should have indicated there was a second cruiser? The Astero is the frigate obtainable the same way as the Stratos cruiser, but I don't see mention of another ship.

There is a second variation of the Stratios as per the announcement made here.

What? I might be slow, but I don't get it, what has that to do with this, and where is Stratios mentioned in there?

Are you changing some ships into Stratios?

EDIT:
nevermind, i've got it, but it's bad idea, no support at all for 3rd party rewards...

Just remember that if you bookmark your wrecks and contract them to Pro Synergy, you get to make extra ISK while grinding for LP.

Lanngisi is pretty popular, just make sure you use dock and undock bookmarks (for two reasons: one, for the gankers, and two because of Amarr station pylons obstructing the warp-out to the stargates). Osmon is a kick-out station, be especially sure to use dock and undock bookmarks. Apanake is pretty quiet. Both Lanngisi and Apanake are 0.5 systems, meaning you will generally get higher rewards from missions run there.

While I still think the changes to the 'dictors were WD, I think CCP succeeded in two ways with these ships.

1) Highsec 50% markup

2) Iterating on the balance concepts of the Genosis. The ship stats look really good to me. I think these ships can deliver on what's promised.

This is a big win. I really like what they did here. These ships are awesome.

The ships do look neat, and I've always been a Drone user, but I do have to echo the sentiment that Drones are far less viable for "long term" sustainability than they used to be. The Mobile Depot will (presumably) help with that a little, but how much cargo space will these Depots take?

Confirming that Apanake is not safe. I euthanized a 2500m ISK deadspace fit missioning ship there recently and hope it is just the first of many.

Gallente and AMARR? Seriously? Do you guys (CCP) even remember that raising SOE standing LOWERS Amarr standing? To be correct in the lore of the universe it should be Gallente and Minmitar.

I want one, i want one, i want one. the Stratios is it, is calling out to me. Altova says thanks too, it's like they were made for us. Reasonable Sisters standing Main with my Alt also looking like she'll like them too :) just hope they wont be too expensive though looking at benefits, im a kinda thinking they will be. you do realise Altova's probably gonna be hauling through her lunch breaks for these things :)

where's the Battleship which looks like a Star Destroyer though :(

That was my initial thoughts too since I am already trained up for Machs and Vinds. Most of my Amarr and laser based skills are still only at level 3 or 4.

Lore-wise, not in the case of the Sisters. They're the most faction-agnostic entity in New Eden, and are used to playing middle man to otherwise mortal enemies. Also, check out the "Focused on sustainability and long deployments" section. Rise gave the verisimilitude of these ships quite a bit of thought.

So whos space is The Sanctuary in? I am going to guess Goons, but you never know.

Its going to be worth a lot of money to whoever owns it.

Availability in highsec means highsec mission runners will basically cap the price. Figure that cap will be around 900 isk/LP from the highsec offer. If the highest offer is 50% more expensive than the nullsec offer, that doubles the isk/LP from the nullsec offer, so you're looking at 1900-2k isk/LP tops.

By comparison, a Crystal implant gets you about 2900-3200 isk/LP, depending on which one you choose.

It'd be possible for someone heavily farming the nullsec agent to squeeze the highsec guys out of the market, of course, but if they do that they're throwing their own profit away by shrinking their isk/LP factor. They'd need to drive the highsec offer probably down below 500 isk/LP, and of course as soon as they raise prices to cash in, people in highsec can go straight back to farming.

All that adds up to is that this isn't the nullsec cash cow it appears to be. Now if they'd been set exclusive to Sanctuary, well, that would be another matter. I'm sure Dinsdale will be back around shortly to tell us all how CCP will remove the highsec agents in Rubicon 1.1, though.

e: Of course I could be wrong. Sisters launchers manage to hold 2k+ isk/LP despite being available in highsec.

I think the reason for that is that the sisters grind sucks, even in highsec. (Having recently gone through it myself). The level 2 and 3 agents have a strong tendency to send you to lowsec every few missions, and there are very few agents in highsec in general, so you're forced to either risk your ship (and those systems have certainly been camped), or constantly wait your four hour cooldown, until you get to level 4s and can safely return to Osmon.

Despite that, I agree in that the majority of LP will come from highsec, and will be the controlling factor in the supply/demand curve. It's just too easy to do 50% more missions in highsec. In general though, even with the changes, SOE will never compete with the Navy factions. Compared to the LP generated by Ichoriya mission runner and Caldari FW, for example, we can expect these to be truly "pirate" prices, and not the next navy drakes.

Edit: Why do these ships cost three times as much as their blueprints? Will they require Tech 2 components and manufacturing skills to compensate?

funny.. I jsut did the whoel grind from zero up to lelve 4's and not a single time they asked me to go low sec.

Just a suggestion - can you not add few lvl 3 agents for the sanctuary (right now there are none available, except for a storyline guy).

This doesn’t come without a cost though. Only the Sanctuary Corporation, who are credited with actually creating the Stratios and Astero, will offer them at the normal pirate faction prices. If you get them from the Sisters of EVE Corporation in high security space get ready for a mark-up of up to 50%.

...

Right, "The sanctuary" corporation has only one station in Goons controlled region...
I suggest just give the isk value of the markup to Goons alliance wallet and make the price equal everywhere. Twisted

Could you please, at least, transfer couple of stations in 0.0 from other pirate corps to the sanctuary corp to make it
less exclusive.

Though that constellation is in Pure Blind, surrounded in CFC sov, that NPC space and the Mordus Legion space not far from it are VERY active with people. Constant Black Frog runs keep the area alive and chaotic. The only way the CFC can change that is to hellcamp EVERYTHING for 24/7, and we're simply not interested in this! The guys coming out of the NPC space are usually quite fun to pew with and at.
