With "income" like that griefing is the only reason to use these things in null.

Pay 100m.
Take an hour and set up 10.
Come back in 10 hours and have 200m.
Collect structures and repeat, or leave them and collect again in 10 hours for another 200 mil.

Where can I find info on this?

Apparently it's on a "pod cast dec," whatever that is.

Yeah, not exactly sure what this podcast is and why it's representative of LARGE NULL BEARS.

Beats me , all those tears he is describing is funny as i literally have not heard one person in corp/Alliance/i know who lives in nullsec say a word about it at all .

So in this case it really seems not a **** was given ....

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Isn't Declarations of War the Noir Merc. Podcast? Although i have a profound respect, they are not exactly representative of "large nullbears", they seemed to have just added to the fear mongering of the forums for............reasons?

I believe this is the podcast the OP is talking about.

(No tears were shed in the making of this podcast) it is also mildly nsfw and very politically incorrect Smile

Siphon units are silly, it only strengthens the number advantage, that went into the game with the big soev changes of some years ago.

It helps the larger coalitions even more to get smaller alliances out of 0.0.

CCP clearly has nobody aboard anymore, that even has some practical knowledge about 0.0 at all.

Given that there's nothing you can add that will help a small group more than it will help a large group... yes. You're right. Large alliances will be able to set these on small alliances to take what little moon goo they were getting.

But that doesn't mean that this won't make a logistical nightmare for the big alliances that may be worse, if people are willing to brave null sec.

As someone that plans to be crapping these out around nullsec POS', i welcome and rejoice at this news. Personally, i don't even care if they don't make me any profits, I'm doing it purely for the lolz. Seems only fair, considering all the time they like to spend in highsec, collecting tears.

Now if someone would just like to supply me with lots of tasty Intel on Null sec alliances valuable Moon-Goo locations, that would be very welcome! Big smile

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

People in highsec really don't get 0.0. I think most Alliances look forward to these bringing in new targets, and you won't even have to roam to find them.

These won't bring new targets because they'll be dropped by mostly uncatchable ships. This is mainly something that moongoo hoarders love because it will push prices up, and griefing alliances love because they can use their numbers to make life harder for everybody else. So, you know, goon tears goon tears lol, because apparently we aren't either one of those things and certainly not both.

The most basic impact siphons will have is an increase in the price of R64 products. Hypothetically lets say everyone goes nuts dropping siphons everywhere and about 20% of current goo production is lost via siphons. Price rises- moongoo value goes up.

If we previously made say 500b per month on high value moons, a 20% increase would be a 100b cherry on top of that 500b per month. I'll take it.

Go nuts with them siphons guys Smile

Tears were almost certainly flooding out of the quoted person during the crafting of his post. You seem to feel that moongoo is being lost, meaning an increase in demand. No, it's just being redistributed, meaning that you're gonna take a 20% hit and everyone else is getting a 20% gain. It wouldn't be ridiculous to say that prices may go down due to attempted undercutting during firesales of moongoo.

(Do you even economics? Do I? Could be wrong, I'm not a number scientist.)

I could very well be wrong, as I've lost track of the adjustments, but the theoretical maximum gain you could achieve due to the waste factor is 10%. That being in a perfect world with 100% of all the moons for a particular commodity covered, for 100% of the time... mean they are never discovered and blown up before they are completely full.

Now you "could" blow them up yourselves while full to achieve higher numbers, instead of claiming the stolen materials for yourselves... unless of course the people that live in that space empty it first to sell (which is likely).

Of course, we all know how often 100% coverage, 100% of the time, to 100% full is likely to happen. Smile

Edit: Of course if you happen to already own some of those moons (lets say 50% for a round number), then your numbers are reduced again by half... unless you intend to siphon yourselves. Smile
