My biggest issue with my 'stuff' is the ability to manage it. I get so tired of 'searching' for everything. I would rather just sort them into their own tabs or sections. Let me rename them, let me move them, let me quip and fit from them.

The next step beyond that would be FILTERS!!!!!!!!!!!! Give us the ability (With tabbed station setup), to set filters to different types of items. Like all AMMO, when dropped onto the station, will go into my personal ammo tab (that I created a filter for). Or all faction fits go to a faction tab (depending upon how I setup my filter).

Let my filters allow me to pick between item type, faction, module slot, extinguishable (ammo/crystals), or even custom filters which search by name.
Awe yea!

I was about to add the filter idea but i see thats already been mentioned.

Like the search (which works great) just have a drop down menu from the left hand corner with the main item types and a custom filter so you could save say all pos fuels togther, for example.

Some very good ideas in this thread.

Just want to add that any 'auto-stack' feature shouldn't be automatic. I'd prefer to have a button to do it instead.

Tabbed hangars; either as separate storage space or as player-configurable filters. I like the filters approach better, because then you could have them for cheap everywhere (ship hangar, drone bay, etc.).

A sell all option, when I select ton of stuff in my corp hangar, right click and then sell - price window could come up for each item, with ability to click sell all for default price and skip the remaining windows. This is useful for L4 runners, who do not want to haul **** to jita.

FIX SECURE CONTAINERS AND HOW YOU CAN'T REPACKAGE THEM FOR A MONTH AFTER USE!

Or - better - introduce a variant of station containers / vaults / etc - that don't have the audit log feature. There are already non-secure containers for the smaller sizes (except there's no "giant" variant).

(There are big reasons why you don't want secure containers with audit logs to be repackaged before that 3 weeks is up. It makes it harder for a thief to cover their tracks.)

Even Even batter, Remove the archaic station containers and station vaults and give us the ability to partition our hangers w/out having to buy these stupidly seeded crap things called cans!

You can do better CCP!

Ammo bays in ships.

At least some way to segregate real 'interesting' bits from the 483 damaged faction/t2 laser crystals that currently clutter up my cans, stations and ship holds.

Your idea for Tabbed personal hangers is a fantastic one. I myself have a bunch of station containers all labelled for different things - Items to sell, Ship equipment, Ammo Etc. if I could create tabs on the station hanger instead of using dozens of containers I would be very very happy.

In addition it would also be nice if you had control of whether your set of tabs was applied to a specific station hangar or not. Ideally you'd have the ability to have different tab sets per station.

partly copyed from my reply in soundwave's post

1. Please remove the 'repackage' operation before stacking items. Make it automatic and invisible to players. The only reason you repackage an item is to stack it, making player do the additional step 'repackage' is pointless.

2. Improve the Icon display that we can easily distinct a damaged items, make BPO look different from BPC, as well as display damage type indicater on related item icons like armor hardener or ammos

3. It can get very cumbersome when you try to sell hundreds of types of items, like mission loots. This window will make that 100 times faster and convenient.

4. Comparing to organizing inventory with containers, A FILTER SYSTEM will be way better when dealing with masses of items, which everyone does in EVE. Click some check box and filter your inventory display without even pressing enter will be awosome.please reference the filter system in Football Manager.

For example, player change the filter setting to show only items of certain race/slot/type/hanger/tech level/meta between X and Y/damaged/certain tag or name/etc, and most important, filter items by their distance(jumps) from where character is.

Which means 'Assets' 'Ships' and 'Items' windows will be made in one: 'Items' window will become just a filter setting with 'distance between 0 and 0' .

Different filter settings can be named, saved and dragged by players, and multiple settings can be fitted in the inventory window as 'tabs' just like in current overviews, you switch the tab, different items appear and hide.

What's more, this filter system can be adopted by the market window easily, and makes everything easier to find without remembering names or dealing with containers

Allow saved fits to put items into your cargo hold(like ammo, scripts, cyno fuel)

Yeah the code in charge of stacking stuff in hangars- specifically fuel hangars for capital ships or corp hangars for Orcas needs work. I don't know how often I try to drag stuff to a fuel/corp hangar only to be told that there's not enough room, and please pull out your calculator to do the math to figure out exactly how many items I'm allowed to move because the game is too lazy to do it for me. Also - restacking things in a nearly full hangar is a PITA. I realize you need code to prevent accidental duplication of items, etc, but as you approach the "full" limit of a hangar it no longer becomes possible to auto-stack things.

hold shift when you drag, and it does it for you

make the size of of the font larger, 13 is too small on 1920-1200 and up

no matter where, small letters and numbers always sting your eyes, no matter if you are looking at it or not. It's a fact. Make all stuff that appears on screen scalable, font to be adjustable and bigger than 13. 14, 16, 18 - is your target.

16 is what looks semi decent on large screens. But no matter inventory, or cargo it has to be big and up scalable.

This post sums up why the 'best' work with DCM inc.

WARP DRIVE makes eve boring

really - add warping align time 300% on gun aggression and eve becomes great again

Perphaps a 'ship pack'

Basically similar to a saved fitting but its a pack that actually contains all the mods, ammo, drone etc and the ship.

Maintains the packed size of everything and is stackable for better corp hanger views (saves having 100s of individual assembled ships)

When you right click assemble, it assembles the ship and then fits it.

This would be amazing for lazy people such as myself and easier for people with lots of time to assemble fits and sell them.

Anyways my big two things would be:

  • Tabbed hangars
  • Buy all option for saved fittings, with price parameters.

Also, not really inventory management but in a similar vein:

Smart market orders. My 'y' ammo buy order goes active when I don't have x amount of ammo in station and shuts off when I have bought enough.

The hanger/assets window should have multiple views, all searchable.

Instead of just an icon grid, an optional tree structure like in the market browser would be awesome (where empty groups are hidden).

The icon grid view should allow custom folders to replace the 'misuse' of secured containers and items in these folders should allow actions on them as though they were in the root hanger.

Remove noobships from the asset list. It's irritating to go through them and think, "oh I have a ship THERE? sweet... oh damnit it's a freaking Ibis"
