No need for windows due to the electronics plugged into your clone. Not to mention looking out through a window while in your pod would be like driving your car at night in the rain without any windshield wipers on it.

What about your Crew... you know, those people who clean the gunk out of the chicken soup machines on board, while you sit in your egg hoping you didn't mix up your your intravenous food drip and your catheter!

what's up with all the RP here?

In any case, all the ships in eve have windows, sisters ships should be no different.

Windows are a structural weakness.

Hilarious!

But it is actually true...

Considering the warp system in-game is based upon manipulating space into a bubble around the ship, An alcubierre drive which we are actually try to do in real life, you have to deal with space debris at relativistic speeds.

Windows would basically shatter when an unlucky piece of debris the size of a bottle cap smashes in, and a ship going at speeds past c... will be screwed over. I assume the shields do a majority of mitigating smaller objects but when those go down, your armor is there, which probably shouldn't have windows.

And you think steel would fare much better when debris hit it at relativistic speeds?

Our mighty vessels have shields and armor with the latest nanotechnology to counter debris at relativistic speeds...

They ran over budget during R&D.

From http://www.eveonline.com/rubicon/features/soe-ships/:

Quote:
The Sisters of EVE (SoE) have added shipbuilding to their portfolio, creating new ships that are utilitarian in design but very pleasing to the eyes. It is said that the the white, windowless design is a symbol of purity, an untainted soul passing through the heavens.

I don't know if this was modified just now to justify the illogical design or it was this way a long time ago.

In any case, what does the prison-like lack of windows have to do with purity? seriously, it looks like a prison ship!

It's immersion breaking, i actually notice that they're a 3d model when looking at them instead of thinking they're ships.

but i guess that is to be expected, CCP can't accept for anything to be 100% right, everything must be broken one way or another!

That page was updated recently, within the last week. As far as I know, there were no complaints before the update. As for the rest of the post, it is subjective and not worth commenting on.
