Bookmark system makes WH space a horrible place to be....

Can something be done about the bookmark system ?

E.g - We need temp bookmarks for fleets. (when the fleet is disbanded the bm's are deleted)

We need alliance bookmarks.

Bookmarks need to be transferable in a normal way not some bullcrap copy to personal and drag to cargo thing. Its ridiculous.

It costs time and we loose ganks because of it.

Please sort this.

Lose. It's lose ganks. Bookmarks are not making ganks less tight.

Temp bookmarks is interesting, but not all that important. Delete them or move them to an "old bookmark" folder.

Alliance bookmarks, no thank you. Spies have it easy enough as is.

What would you prefer for a bm transfer system?

I don't care about my spelling. Thanks anyway. Its means nothing here.

Bookmarks are making ganks harder. You have to spend ages transferring the chain from a OOC alt to get a fleet in. Allowing more time for the target to warp off / suspect something.

My main point was FLEET bookmarks. Have bookmarks for fleets and when fleets are over they get deleted.

Alliance bookmarks, Yes please. You only need to put the bookmarks you want to share in there. e.g a wormhole chain.

Right click a toon and transfer bookmarks button would be nice. Select the bookmarks you want to transfer and click done.

Would it also be possible to update how they're pushed between clients. The delay in updating corp bookmarks can really cause some angst.

OMG. Why don't we just make it like it used to. I LOVED copying Bookmarks into cans or having to get bookmarks that someone else made.

I love wormhole space. . why are you trying to destroy what i love?

your want of alliance book marks just makes me think you want to try blobbing things harder, this makes me sad.

However. . just throwing this potential work around out there.

I guess it's safe to assume a member from most of the alliances will be in fleet anyway. . why not just make the person with the required bookmarks the one to group warp the people there? once on grid any later comers will just warp to a member anyway. . I don't see a huge problem, I am of course not in an alliance either so meh what do i know.

This "problem" you speak of, really? Perhaps we could just have Eve-wide bookmarks because what w-space really needs is everyone to have trained KM Whoring to V.

If everyone is in Fleet, this is a VERY basic logistical issue to deal with, no changes necessary. If the FC can't manage to get their fleet where they need to be with the existing system then, well, maybe time for a new FC...

Yes, if you have to ask yourself the question, just assume we are watching you...

Easier is better!! What we really need is a BM hot key. Maybe hold alt-shift and then type 'lazy' and you can get a drop down menu that autofills you BM for you based on your BMing history. Once you hit enter then another menu auto pops for you and you can click off where you want the bm stored - personal, corp, alliance, fleet, corp miners, gas suckers only, tall people, dudes with husky voices.

OMG... Wait.... I'VE GO THIS!!! - is there a way that we could just say them into team speak and the BMs will show up in the appropriate folders? That would be the best. I mean what dude doesn't like dic tate. I think that is what Yoshmoto really wants - more dictate

A folder where yall corps in the alliance can put BMs in to share would be awesome, wouldnt want my alliance having all the bms though, gotta keep some paranoia.

I know Bite Me Inc. has been doing this a lot longer than me. I've cleared my last post since I realized you don't need pointers in how to cloaky gank.

I'm ok with the current bookmark system, but we all miss ganks sometimes. Usually its not because of bookmarks though, at least with us, its scouts being seen/fail tackling.

If I lose an artillery round, I may need your help in finding it. If I loose an artillery round, you may need to duck. Yes, there's a difference.

Basically, you want two things:

1. For it to be easier to scout from a out of corp alt

2. For it to be easier to hit a target with multiple corps in an alliance

These are both valid tactics, which means the benefits already outweigh the drawbacks. You're asking for one of the drawbacks (slightly increased pain in transferring BMs) to be lessened because...you still think it's too hard and sometimes the prey escapes? Yeah...

What's to stop a guy in corp from doing that very thing? Maybe not everyone wants to be a massive corp. Some people want to fly with other friends and still have their own flavor.

What Eve really needs is bookmark related roles (view, add, remove) or at the very least a log (when was what created/deleted by whom).

BMs worked fine in 2009 and they work fine now.

I swear to god wh kids these day.... want everything on a fkn silver platter...
WHs are not meant to be easy. If you can't hack it, we don't need you.

Losing ganks because of BM system? Maybe you should learn to scout properly.
Ganks are also a dime a dozen so in the end, who cares?

I've lived in WH corps and alliances. Have also been in wspace since well before corp BMs.
People no longer have any concept of what WHs were like without corp BMs.

You think being in an alliance is a dissadvantage over a single corp due to no alliance BMs? if that's the biggest issue your alliance has, youre doing extremely well.

I don't care how bookmarks were before such and such.

I care about how they are now and they are troll.

I pay for this game and expect improvements.

This thread is about one of the things I believe needs improving.
