NPC Corps? Why cant we pick?

Hello!


I know when we leave player corp we have to join NPC corp! Why can't we pick one we want to be loyal too? maybe gain cool stuff?

Start a new character in the NPC corp you want... you'll be forever loyal.

Because, from CCP's point of view, in this game players are the content, not NPC's.

There was a time in 2003-2004 when you could join any NPC corp and some veteran characters still have that in their employment history. I saw one who is STILL a member of Republic Security Services while certainly not a CCP dev actor.

However, it was stopped and the racial drop-out corps according to one's bloodline were set up to group players together and facilitate communitation in whatever form.

Or maybe for some other reason.

If social needed between the NPC then just link the NPC loyal to one, i mean they already have a program going... you can pick who your loyal too so why not allow us to be part of different NPC groups! Pirate

CCP has a list of who loyal to who? :)

People shouldn't be staying in NPC corps in the first place.... so being able to pick out which one youre hiding in is just bad.



Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Actually, you do pick... when you generate your character.

Paying attention to that detail... not so much.

You get to pick which NPC corp you want to join, as long as you pick one of the four FW NPC corps.

Maybe after a bit of green mouthwash...

But anyway, I have an alt in Scope and would love to be able to go between Scope and CAS (the starter corp) at times as I have enjoyed the chat in both.

As to 'shouldn't be in an NPC Corp for long'. Why not? Why is it considered improper to have a choice other than join a Player Corp or leave EVE?

Because being in an NPC corp makes you unable to create real content. You can only consume content. You back nothing, support no-one, know no loyalty to anyone but yourself. You stand for nothing, you are conveniently neutral with only your own agenda in mind. And then I haven't begun about cyno alts or diplomatic immunity in hisec.

NPC corp characters are a disease and should be systematically exterminated.
