Aircard for Eve Online

Wasnt sure which forum this went into but ill use this one.

Im planning on getting an aircard for my laptop so i can play eve online. Im looking at playing 3-5 hours per day. Does anybody know how much bandwidth eve usage and if a 5GB aircard for every month will work?

I was forced to use my 4G phone internet for a Month, Worked fine with Eve and Teamspeak.

The client uses very little and you will be fine- I've done exactly the same. The issue can be the patches. So, when Rubicon is downloading, I suggest you do that on a home or other wifi connection such as Mcdonalds or your library.

The client is low bandwidth, but patches are a killer if you have a quota.

I ran tethered off my mobile phone for 3 months. I used roughly 2 GB a month when I normally used about 500 MB.

I downloaded the FULL client from a different (free) connection whenever a new patch was released, which avoided most patches, but not all.

Other updates are also a pain, and had to be disabled, as they consume a lot of my quota:
* Windows
* Nvidia (video drivers)
* Adobe (PDF & flash)
* Firefox (web browser)
* MacAfee (anti-virus)
* VLC (media viewer)
* NoScript (web-browser plugin)
* Ad Block Plus (web-browser plugin)
* iTunes
There were several others too.

From my experience the eve client actually uses less bandwidth than even lightly browsing the internet.

I had to live off a Verizon hotspot for a few months and monitored the bandwidth like a hawk.
