ok excuse my noobish-ness
i have docked in a station in yoma, and there are no agents there with any missions i can do, what are my options? fly to another station and see if any there? the ones on the table in my room are 29 jumps away and located in 0.0 territory kind of out my league at the moment, is there an easy way of finding where to go to get a mission or is it just poy luck dock and look?

many thanks

Available agents have to do with your standings to individual corps and their respective factions. Unless you have somehow ruined your standings with an entire faction (which is doubtful this early on) i'd suggest looking at the agent finder in the people and places menu. Set it to search for all lvl 1 agents available to you, then lvl 2 and so on, until you have the highest lvl agent close to you.

Are you in Amaar space by any chance?

Not logged into eve at the moment, but if thats near Villore i'll fleet you up next time i do a Lvl4. Couple of those should raise your faction standings enough to recieve other missions of your own.

The agent finder is very useful.

Also eve-agents.com

There should always be level 1 agents available, no matter how bad your standing is.
However they might be a couple of jumps away from your actual solar system. That would be the reason why your search fails for that particular system.

Use Agent Finder. If all there are is level ones, do a few and you will be level 2 and so on. It doesn't take that long.

And you can access Agent Finder in space under people and places.

Use the agent finder in game. You'll find it just above where th agents are normally listed, or in people and places.

Simply make sure that all the filters are set to any, and check the "only available" option at the bottom. Then start bt using th slider set to level 1.

It is impossible not to have any agents available to you, since level 1 agents are always available not matter what your standings

That is unless you have somehow managed to **** off every possible agent in the game on a personal basis by constantly failing missions for them

How the hell did you dock in Yoma? There's no station there.

And as to your question about finding an agent, there is an agent finder in the game. Simply open that up and input your criteria and it will tell you were all agents matching the search parameters are.

... well, that's just confusing. Why on earth would they have systems named 'Yona' and 'Yoma'? That's just begging to mess people up, lol.

Anyways, there are agents in the stations at VIII - Moon 8, VII - Moon 8, and VI - Moon 5 that you can access (though the one at VIII - Moon 8 is the one you want, the other two are R&D agents).

If you are just looking for someone to do missions for and haven't got a specific corp / faction etc lined up:

The ingame map has a setting to color all the stars in the universe that have agents 'available to you' I think.

F10 pulls up the map, irc.

Honestly you could probably burn a good chunk of a play period seeing and toying with all the information that map can give you.

Agent availability only being one of the many neat things it can show you.

Lvl 1 agents of any faction should be open to you unless you are at really bad terms with the faction.

So as long as you didn't pissed off the Caldari there should be plenty of Lvl 1 agents around caldari space.

I myself have got several in Lonetrek alone that I used to run with before I moved myself around in EVE universe.
