(Note: This is not a thread complaining about TiDi. I absolutely adore TiDi and have a little shrine to the devs who coded it.)

Ladies and gentlemen! There is a lovely little place in Sinq Laison that many like to refer to as "Dixie". To many, Dodixie is home and livelihood. Be they scammer, undock warrior, trader, missioner or someone who gets their kicks out of arguing with every soul in local, everyone has a little spot in their heart reserved for the warm welcome of the Federation Navy Assembly Plant at moon 20 of planet IX.

It's often graced with the presence of hundreds of capsuleers, and is referred to as one of the five major trade hubs. Why, then, is it constantly afflicted with such heavy Time Dilation? Is Dodixie not worthy of a stronger node?

"But 0.0 fleet fights deserve priority over a carebear haven!"

Fleet fights almost certainly bring more immediate examples of divergent gameplay to the fore. But, as mentioned, there are only five major trade hubs, so what's five stronger nodes in a gameworld of hundreds of systems? Furthermore, 0.0 fights are in many cases unpredictable. Their existence in such a manner means that they cannot have a node dedicated to them; thus, the resources can only really be directed to areas that suffer such consistent heavy traffic.

Dodixie is a utopia for citizens of New Eden. Let's take a look at some local traffic:

Upstanding Citizen #1> inb4 matthew decs the scythe fleet issue and then just sits there, tanking it for 24 hours.
Upstanding Citizen #2 > Any large mining corps have room for a noob like me?
Upstanding Citizen #3 > Serves him right for smacking dixie PVP.
Upstanding Citizen #4 > I lost because of people getting involved
Upstanding Citizen #5 > you let the pod get away?
Upstanding Citizen #4 > I dont take it seriously like you [gentlemen of a homosexual persuasion] who touch [genitalia] together

As we can quite rightly see, Dodixie is a microcosm of all that is good in EVE. The pioneering New Eden spirit is alive and well; please, don't let it be snuffed out by its residents having to shuffle around at sub-zimmer-frame speeds.

Even though I am a Gallente criminal, I support this service.

Ah, no, you see, having lived in both trade hubs for numerous months, I can assuredly conclude that Dodixie is better. For one, the nebula doesn't give me a migraine.

As an upstanding Caldari citizen i do not approve of this service. Dodixie must burn in the name of our great Squid Lord.

As far as I know there are only four supernodes. Half of them shouldn't be dedicated to highsec systems where nothing worth the processing power happens.

Absolutely nothing happens in highsec, you're right. Especially nothing to do with L4 alts earning money for F1 lemmings, nosiree. Anyway, who mentioned supernodes? Just one at a stronger level than currently. Blob harder should be met with bear harder.

I certainly support this. I've lived in and around Dodixie my whole career. With as much traffic as it gets I believe it deserves a better node. There really is a 'lively' community here too.

Considering they lock Jita at around, what... ~2000?

Yeah one may never know the answer to that. Roll

4500 sub-cap battle would be pretty amazing. Perhaps in the future large alliances will battle in high-sec over POCO control.

Set Dodixie to 0.0 and you can both have what you want.

sinq laison is huge, not surprised it has issues.

dodi has gone downhill a bit since they took out agent quality though.

Very little would change. There would just be bigger ships camping the IX M20 undock. It'd be like an island of NPC null amongst loads of high - and everyone knows NPC null is basically lowsec with bubbles.

Aside from the fact that you evidently didn't read the OP in much depth... *wonders when the last time there was a major trade hub (open, dockable and easily accessible to all players) in nullsec, hrmmm never Shocked*

Dixie is the bomb, that much is true. New Eden's little secret. As much as I hate like Hek to admit it, though, Amarr is a close second.

Amarr is the bomb.

That downward undock.
