Skill Tree for New Players interested in PVP

First of all, hello everyone! This is my first post to eve forums! I am here because I have had a lot of people ask me what skills they should train for pvp. I stream a lot and many new players and potential new players seem to be coming to the stream community for answers. So I have taken it upon myself to help!

My first idea was to create a basic PVP skill tree for frigate pvp. For the sake of keeping it as trim as possible I am starting with just a gallente frigate skill tree, but hope to put one out for all the races.

I am pretty sure I have included every skill that is needed for pvp in general, but would love to get some input if I missed any. Also, and I feel this is the most important part, if anyone has any suggestions on the order of training, that would be most welcome. I think this is a really fundamental part of keeping pvp type players interested. Getting them into decent fits asap. The current skill tree takes a total of 160ish days to train depending on implants. And by the end you should be able to fly any gallente t1 frigate and fly it very well. And even by the first month or so you should be able to do some damage!

Quite a nice thing for sure!

Besides that, it would be highly favorable if there was a missile skillplan aswell, especially now with missiles being - on the frigside - an amazing weapon system that, once light missile V is trained, translates directly into even higher end ships like caracal, cerb and tengu, fleet scythe and bellicose.

While turrets used to be the go-to-pvp-platform, I'd say that especially as a newbro, you'd have as much fun going for light missiles (and maybe even rockets) and getting the support skills up to III-IV, especially as missiles translate to roughly equal training time until you do *something*.

Just went through it, and this looks great. Just one thing I noticed after loading it in EVEmon is that it's really not optimized attribute wise. You can cut like 30 days out of this training plan by just using proper attribute remaps. If I may make a suggestion, that would be it. :)

Aside from that, good stuff! :D

I didn't know you could save it with the optimized attributes? I was just going to mention it in the post on the new players board when/if I put it up there? I will have to try that though for sure! Thanks for mentioning it.

small blasters and amarr cruiser 5 is all you need for pvp

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Great streamer, Great newbro Skill Plan for people trying to get into pvp early and build on an idea. This also translates well into tackle for fleets as you are blaster based and used to getting in close and knowing what you can/can't get close to. I Approve!

haha good question, it has been moved to later in the plan. I thought it was needed to use learning implants. The reason I am keeping it on the plan is because you need it to 3 to use +3 fitting implants which can be really useful. Also any +3 gunnery implant and such.

You should add small railgun spec also, didn't see it. And as mentioned maybe talk about proper attribute mapping, it can save heaps of time if mapped properly and using implants. Cerebral accelerators are also handy you can get over 2mil SP in your first month if you do it right, fairly costly exercise though.

+1 to your suggestions.

I just joined EvE and in a packaged deal offered, i was given a Cerebral accelerator. I knew it sped things up, just didn't know how to use my bonus remaps to make things quick. I read the attributes i would want to learn gunnery faster, just not sure if those same attributes help gunnery performance in pvp situations. BTW, im training for small railgun for the Atron. 150mm rail II with antimtter rounds looks like it might work good :)
