Sorry dudes! <3

Seriously? These days I struggle to think of w-space PVP groups who don't love some nullsec action.

Content: yeah, new interceptors are made of awesome. If yurts aren't too big they could make some very interesting changes to the meta.

One thing I was kind of curious about - how much is that salvaging tractor beam hub going to hurt profits from Sleeper salvage?

Here's my thinking, which may be completely full of it. Eve is an open market system. Supply and demand. Whenever you make an activity easier to do, you automatically decrease the price of the loot that comes from that activity. For example, Odyssey did all those changes to make scanning easier. And the result was that the market for Exploration loot went straight through the floor. It used to be a profitable profession. Now it's kind of a joke - a way to tour the universe while making a marginal amount of ISK.

I'm wondering if they make salvaging less time consuming and easier, is that going to drop the price on Sleeper salvage loot?

Confirmed Hotdropping is not a reality... BUT .. 100km Cynojammer is kinda useless anyway because if a hotdrop hits, those suckers are most likely in kiting ship fitted for long range anyway... And if you want not to get "HOT DROPPED" .. shoot the cyno...

All CCP did was make it a little "HARDER" to bait tank with Gnosii....

Personally i m looking forward to the Siphon??? (no idea bout spelling) so i can steal **** from industrial posses and get some extra isk ... i mean content...The new scanning ships are great but for now i d rather stick with my MAX Skilled Buzzy that has a cloaky loki as friend...

The yurt is kinda cool pending on .. "IS IT SCANNABLE" or is it like a cargo container...so you may be able to have "hidden spots" in hostile homes ...

But honestly .. teeeeh best thing i m looking forward to... Marauders... i m not sure if the bastion module will work in Class 4 wormholes .. but **** thats gonna be some hilarious **** ... in pvp .. not sure about their damage projection against Tech3 it might be interesting as a homedefense buuuuuut ... localized tank was never a good pvp option .. unless you are in triage.......

That being said for Rubicon, what i m reaaaaaaaaally looking forward to are the new-revamped EA-Frigs ... living in a Wolf Rayet ... i encourage everybody to get a "Frig" doctrine and if you roll into Max (Susu Home) gimme a shout .. we can do a massiiiiiiiive micromanaging frig fight at highspeed .. i mean brawling is fun .. but HIGHSPEED PEW PEW is waaaaay more fun :)

I could be wrong, but I don't see those prices going down because of that. Honestly, salvaging isn't the bottleneck when running sites regardless of class. Also, if one were to use that module, it would be much more susceptible to bombing runs. I don't see those being able to take a lot of punishment. Or alternatively, one could try taking items from them. Should be worth it if one is patient.

Two things about loot. Blue is NPC, doesn't change. The nanos are not going to change due to the speed of you salvaging the sites, but how fast the sites spawn. It may impact on the spawn rate, but not so much.

I'm interested to learn how the syphon thing works. if it takes for that, say, 16 hours to gain a worthwhile haul it will be no use to us... It would be good if you could increase its syphon rate by transferring cap to it.

The new SOE ships look nice but meh... The frig is better off staying in lowsec scanning. That cruiser + an alt or 2 for null anoms.
lol Marauders, still gonna suck...

Interceptor & Warp Speed changes are beast though. 60km point and being able to tranverse 10AU in like 11 seconds is deadly.

What is going to be the speed of scanning covops frigs in warp now?

I blathered enough on my blog about this, save for the SOE ships. I think the Stratios is a little OTT. I shall refer to it as the Pilgtar.

There does need to be some other option for a DPS cloaky aside from the Proteus. 900 DPS cloaky? Not so sure it has to be that ridonk.

The Siphon will be interesting, especially if it leeches reactions. Which it basically is going to have to do, when you think about it. So it'll be all about drug stealing in lowsec.

The Cyno jammer hurfleblurf? The last time WhySoSerious dropped some of their cojones on a wormhole, how'd that go for them? Add a cyno jammer, all it does is stops one side or another bringing reinforcements. if you are so worried about hotdropping (has happened to me once) then just pack some of them, deploy it when you spot a velator on d-scan, and look like a tool.

No one's talking about the depot (I guess that's the "yurt"?). This will assist POS sieges, itinerants, cloaky campers, etc.

For me the cyno jammer will just be a good way to level the playing field. When we roam in low sec and find a hostile roaming gang, it would be nice to temporarily prevent them from using their caps, since our caps are unavailable in w-space.

I'm interested in the SOE ships. Want to see if they are viable for use as a cloaky tackle with tank to last until DPS hits.

I am farming SOE LP in anticipation of the demand for the new ships.

Frig.

I don't see the cloaky frig as a replacement for the T-2 versions for the rank and file explorer. The slot layout isn't great, the loss of strength isn't an advantage and the hauling capacity is only a 40 m3 increase. I will stick to a Helios. Tried and true.

I do see that Frig as the premier combat covert ops frig. The armor bonuses give it extra staying power, the drones give it some combat viability. Practically any gank roaming fleet would be stupid not to have two or three of these things roaming around looking for potential targets and giving the updated ceptors a warp in to start the engagement.

Cruiser;

The jury is still out on he effect of the cruiser. I see it as a good ship for running low sec combat sites, but I don't see it having the tank to make the more profitable null sec or sleeper sites accessible. I think players will graduate out of these cruisers and into T-3's as they have always done.

On the pvp side, these with the covert ops frigs and new ceptors are gate camp/station camp nightmares and will make life a living hell for lowsec and null sec miners. For that matter, any target not under a pos is at risk. I think you will see these along with Stealth bombers, Recon ships as a new BLOPS fleet doctrine of some sort.

The BLOPS application is where I can see the affect.

I will keep farming the SOE LP until the prices stabilize, which I expect will be a month or two after the expansion hits. It will take the community a while to adapt these ships to the best role. BUT once they do, and I think its going to be in the area of BLOPS, watch out.

CCP Rise just updated the Stratios stats...

It's now only going to have 100mb/s (drone bandwidth) and an optimal range bonus to lasers.

Personally i'm not interested in these ships anymore.

I agree they are not as powerful as before especially in the WH environment

The Frig is trying to take the place of the T-2 ships as the best scanning rig. Not sure if CCP did a rebalance on the T-2 Covert Ops ships, but they stated they want to see these ships as the pve scanning rigs, giving them the virus strength certainly helps.

Oh my the Cruiser.

As a pve ship, it isn't going to be any better than an Ishtar. The laser bonus essentially makes up for the lost drone, so it can still do 800 dps, but only if it is in a snipe configuration. Still fits the mold for a low sec 6/10 DED runner and below. Not perfectly suited for WH space.

As a pvp boat, its a Mrym with lasers and a cloak. I guess that fits a niche. It hurts the drone assign F1 monkeys but still may have a nice filler space in a BLOPS fleet for the more inexperienced pilot. Still thinking on this one.

*edit* I'm pretty sure the Stratios will be nerfed... a 900 dps covert cruiser is a bit more powerful than CCP desires, and has stated as such in the Sisters ships thread.

SMA Loot Dropping has been officially announced.
