Perhaps they will change the EULA in light of the current scandal, however my first guess is that they will continue to allow Somer to violate the EULA as they are making a killing off of it.


But apparently before this week the GTC resellers agreement was ruled to supersede the EULA. Or at least that's what I was told by Shattered Crystal.


That's what I heard also. And like I said before, no wonder, because CCP is making MILLIONS off of them.

It just goes to show that you can break any rule if you provide enough of a kickback.

And even get a kickback on your kickback Ishkune style.

Why? When I bought my time codes I got them from a reseller that was not affiliated with in game characters at all. They were quite respectable and I used them every time I bought one.

The problem here is that CCP retroactively circumvented their own rules for 7 figures.

Had a go with the 1bn referral credit, just blasted it on high value blinks - mostly rorquals, put 286m back into game in the end - not one of my better runs but I don't usually just blast it.

How about this one: The same way I do buddy - out of my own goddamn pocket.

Man they are milking it. Maybe CCP Guard will take out his wallet and help pay for their server costs since he thinks they are so plain awesome. And they are, of course, 100% trustworthy.

CCP looks honestly laughable through all of this and it honestly makes me sad. SOMER made you guys look stupid - like a complete joke - and your silence only makes it worse.

Actually, the idea is that CCP asked the timecode resellers to stop doing business with affliliates that 'sweeten' the referral link with basically anything.

This is a good stance, as it allows players that do want to support non profit community sites to continue doing so by purchasing time codes through referral links.

The real litmus test remains to be seen: what each and every site does after the loophole is closed. Those that remain open and continue to operate will be damage control towards the naysayers that took issue with a community spotlight on a strictly for profit entity. Those that close, well, If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck...

Yeah, the big cash out makes it unequivocal. CCP really made asses of themselves with this whole community site fiasco. This is one of the rare times where heads really should roll. If there was nobody vetting the decisions leading to this disaster, then the person who should have put someone responsible in charge is to blame.

Welp, looks like Somer pretty much wins Eve. Hundreds of thousands of dollars out of game + insanely rich in-game. Don't think anything will be able to top that well........ever.

I ain't even mad (at somer), that's amazing. Doubly so, since CCP endorsed the racket in the first place.

Besides, I'm sure if someone else funneled 7 figures worth of revenue to CCP, they'd give em a bit of extra time before closing down that shop.

Somer Blink is really making CCP look like chumps

Everyone else has closed down their bonus RMT and Somer has increased theirs to a billion.

A very community based site, CCP should be so happy they are 100% trustworthy Lol

I expect the *real* RMT to begin in earnest sometime soon... they have no reason to keep the site going if they can't generate cash out of it, and they've already beaten the game many times over, at this point it makes sense they'd sell all that useless ISK off just to spite the community.
