i must say; that was one of the most interesting devlog to be read in a long time for me.

besides the teams that are already hard working on lag an other related issues and the rebalancing of the hybrid turrets, this "odd team" has truly spiked my interest in flying.

i do understand that you will have to go back to your own game for now. but i would ask CCP to let you do roughly the same thing with the next expansion.

tnx for time well spend people

I have to say, I am so excited for all of these changes. Loot All being the most awesome :P. On that note however, I would love it if you could assign a hotkey to loot all the items without even opening the wreck or container as long as you had it selected in the selected items list. On top of that, maybe add another button in the selected items list on a container and wreck and make it a loot all button there as well. Regardless, all of this is extremely splendid and you guys have accomplished in weeks to what it seems like others have accomplished in months (Not discrediting anyone, I swear :P).

P.S. Drone prices are gonna plummet since no one will have to buy those pesky drones anymore after coming back from a disconnect :P

As many others have said before me...Well done and thanks so much for this. Bear

I hope the relevant folks back at CCP HQ take not of the gratitude from players for these "simple" and "easy" fixes that have pleased the community so much. It's not that hard is it lads (and ladies)? Big smile

When you get webified, instead of your top speed showing "max" speed with blue bars, can you show a RED speedometer to show that our top speed is getting reduced and it makes it very clear we're being webbed and how much rather than thinking we're going full speed :

Did you guys make it so in the Captain's Quarters if you double click your ship in the hangar floor (not in ship spinning) that it opens the cargo bay, and is right clickable?

I don't remember that being that way.

People still use this Captains quarters thing ? Really ?

Awesome changes, don't you guys DARE go back to WoD :)

I think that is how its going to work, along with the ability to "approach & loot" in one go...

About Alliance Jump Bridges. The addition is very nice but there should be an option to show All Available Jump Bridges. They will no longer require passwords as it's only based on standings, so that should be pretty easy to add.

This exactly what I expect from a new expansion:

New Ships
UI Enhancement
New game options
Graphics Enhancements!

What else?

The last thing CCP can do is create something to make Rolplay really possible. I really do not knwo how though.

Thanks a lot

I want to congratulate team paper cuts with having the first comments thread to a dev blog that contains no complaints . . .

at least since I started playing in 2006, theres just really nothing to argue with here . . . honestly if this is the quality of work being done on World of Darkness I may consider playing . . . and I dont even like vampires.

Would like to add my thanks to Team Papercuts, a good job well done, and that also goes to all the other Devs working on the game.

Just think if CCP had brought out Crucible before Incarna the players would have been so happy playing FIS that the rage storm might never have happened.

Awesome changes thanks !

I'll just plug one of my small annoyances : "repackaging stuff in Player Owned Stations" It really is annoying to scroll through 400 unpackaged items in your tabs.

again

Awesome ;)

Couple of questions:
- Will plotting routes with the autopilot now include jump bridges?
- Will it be possible to reconnect to drones even if you leave system (or dock in a station) and come back? What about carriers - can they reconnect to fighters off-grid?

Sorry, autopilot routes will not include jump bridges. I looked into what that would take briefly and decided that it fell a little too far outside the scope of what our team was trying to tackle.

Reconnect to drones requires you to be on-grid with the drones in question. You can reconnect after leaving system, docking, re-logging or otherwise abandoning them... the only caveat is that you are in the same ship that launched them to begin with.

Wouldn't it been easy to have a checkbox "use alliance JB or not" in the auopilot settings ???

or was it too difficult due to the fact of calculating the route?

what was the issue in that not being done?

im curios :)

I just hope CCP notices how much people love, and how much Eve needs, such a happy flow of continuing little changes. Look at how easily these guys really did steal BFF's thunder. It's funny but it's also an ugly truth the way they wrote "Revolutionary right!?" in the blog.

So many good things... the orbiting change (thank you finally!) and drones and the icon dragging (thank you finally again!) and the drag-to-select functionality.... so good. SO overdue. Years and years and years! And now their 3 weeks are up and those guys are gone again. :(

So if CPP just employed 1 guy to do this job, every couple of months we'd see similar glee? Please recognise how great that is CCP. That employed guy wouldn't even have to think of things to do, the players have plenty of low fruit to point to. And suddenly a month from now.. the red webbed speedometer? Done. Hotkey closing on mission popups? Done. Hold Ctrl to loot-all with the Selected Item button? Done. One month later... less pointless error messages when fitting? Done. Personal orders appearing in blue on the market? Done. Ammo included in fitting saves? Done. One month later... visual cues for orbiting, ranging and approaching? Done. Dialogs not stealing focus? Done. Passive targeters corrected? Done. Repositioning guns in fitting without error popups? Done. Show info hotkey? Done. Market details hotkey? Done. And etc and etc and etc, month after month.

Every one of these things would be met with glee.

Anyway good work Team Papercuts. Thanks for giving us something we can point to and say "This. This is what we like!"
