There ever been any talk of adding pirate BCs?

Topic pretty much says it all.

I think a lot of people like the variety that the pirate cruisers, battleships and frigates add to EVE. It's nice to see different, unique ship models and paint schemes (particularly the former, but the latter is cool, too), and also interesting in that many of the pirate ships -- even if they share a model with their civilian or navy incarnations -- are designed with a completely different intent than what you get from the vanilla stuff.

Sadly, I guess because BCs are still sort of 'new' (not really, but you understand what I'm saying), they don't get any pirate counterparts. Has there ever been any discussion of changing this? For my part, I'd love to see a Cynabal-esque BC (sort of a Galente/Minnie blend) added to the game, and I am sure there is room for a few others ships. Yes, one could argue that the priate cruisers are already supremely cool and pretty darned powerful, but isn't there still room for more?

Well, they want to continue adding ships to each expansion so they can point at those when people ***** about lack of content, so they'll cross that bridge eventually. Gonna run out of navy ship-copouts pretty quickP

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

Well, while the void isn't that large, I do think it exists. The current pirate cruisers are basically soloist and small-group hunters that can take down a BC or potentially two if played well. However, all the videos of them going up against battleships are almost painful to watch. If they win, it takes for friggin' ever.

I think a pirate BC is essentially a battleship hunter, in much the way a pirate cruiser is a BC hunter. IE an expensive, fast 'toy' designed to slaughter bigger fish efficiently.

If that would be the role of a Pirate BC to hunt battleships, I don't think it will see much use in empire space from what i understand there is a distinct lack of battleships outside of nullsec wars.

they might make an appearance in wormholes, though depending on the cost of them they still might be a rare sight out there as well. I guess i'd rather see battleships getting used more before you start talking about bringing in battleship hunters.

Well they did just add navy BCs. So we should see pirate BCs sometime.
