People are really flipping out here... it's a strange time for the game. I don't think people were this emotional about the Incarna fiasco. I wonder how many people just unsubbed and walked....

Its all about CCPs **** crisis management.
During the Ishukone scandal they were out of town and couldnt be bothered to deal with community stuff, I dont agree with this but welp.
Now its obvious that CCP actually dont give a **** independently from if they are or are not at work w/e.

Well... I think most players probably don't even look at the forums. Maybe CCP just figures it's not that big a deal...

A patch, 12 million on Development and EvE gets a patch. Once again we are funding all of the development on other games while EvE crawls in a corner and rots from lack of attention.

Imagine what EvE would be if they actually spent 12 million on an Expansion.

This feeling of injustice is one I can't understand and I hope someone can enlighten me.

We as a player base don't fund all of the other development, CCP does.

We pay for access to the game that already exists and the money we use to do that no longer belongs to us, it belongs to CCP.

While I obviously hope that some of the subscription fee helps further development of the game, it is ridiculous to expect someone else to spend their money only in a way that I think they should. Just as I have the right to chose how I spend my money, so does CCP.

Also, in every RL business and organisation I have worked in, no department is a true silo. There is a lot of consultation and communication between teams and ideas that end up being used by one team often originate or have substantial input from others. So to think that all of the developers working on Dust and other projects don't also have a input into the further development of Eve is a little naive I think.

Are you really comparing a company that sells virtual goods and other that sells physical goods? I wonder what kind of tard hired you.

Yes they have done a lot of bug fixes and a lot of rebalancing while actually dodging the main 3 things that needed fixing

POS code, Sov and Corporate roles and access.

Yes it is CCPs right to spend their money as they choose but it is also very much a consumers right to say "Hey, how about instead of spending all your money on other crap, you spend it on the game that actually PAYS you"

And they wonder why they need a gambling site to keep them afloatLol

The only real right a consumer has in the case of an online video game is to choose whether or not to spend their own money on it. It's just that simple really.

Tidi has actually made large fights playable, so I wouldn't say they've dodged all the hard issues. The facwar fixes were also great. Crimewatch too. But all of those were fixes for things that were generally in a bad state beforehand.

We could really use some genuinely new content (like apocrypha). I'm not asking for an apocrypha expansion every 6 months. But an apocrypha sized expansion every 3-4 years? Would be reliably good for everything, from the playerbase to CCP's bottom line.

TiDi or to use its real name, LAG, has nothing to do with the Sov System.

What they should do in my opinion is do a little patch like Rubicon in the middle of the year or even smaller and a major patch once a year.

Yes a consumer has the right to stop paying for a service, and a lot of people have, No one I knew personally in-game when I started is still here, no one. There are some old timers left in the game but even they are starting to dwindle or generally spend less time in the game than they used to.

This game is getting old, tired and stagnant, this is not a problem they will fix by dumping most of their development budget into other games.

Probably because reading and writing forums posts, blogs etc is a lot more interesting then Eve at the moment.

Spot on, especially since CCP has had a discussion with SOMER about their incentive program.

Did they?

Maybe you can enlighten me on this conversation or was it just keep doing what you are doing?
